Story
Why is Miami… Miami? What does the heartbreaking fate of the cheetah tell us about the way we raise our children? Why do Ivy League schools care so much about sports? What is the Magic Third, and what does it mean for racial harmony? In this provocative new work, Malcolm Gladwell returns to the subject of social epidemics and tipping points, this time with the aim of explaining the dark side of contagious phenomena. Through a series of gripping stories, Gladwell traces the rise of a new and troubling form of social engineering

I love the first topping point edition and this one didn’t disappoint. I was expecting a similar book with updated examples and instead got a whole new take on the premise of the first book. I recommend both!

Who hasn’t wondered for a split second what the world would be like if a person who is the object of your affliction ceased to exist? But then you’ve probably never heard of The McMasters Conservatory, dedicated to the consummate execution of the homicidal arts. To gain admission, a student must have an ethical reason for erasing someone who deeply deserves a fate no worse (nor better) than death. The campus of this “Poison Ivy League” college—its location unknown to even those who study there—is where you might find yourself the practice target of a classmate.

I found the premise of training to murder refreshing which sounds very odd but the writing is so well done. Great characters and well developed plot kept me engaged through the entire book.

It’s something that has to be worked toward every moment of every day. Thankfully the fun never subsides even when the darkness threatens to overwhelm them. This three-book omnibus includes books four through six in the Mystic Caravan series.

Great series
Reviewed: 01-04-23
I wasn’t sure about this series when I read the synopsis of the first book, but I figured that If the series is as popular as it seems by how many books there are, I could give it a try. I’m sure glad I did! I love the fact that the story isn’t following the traditional formula of lovers meet, fall for each other, keep secrets from each other and lie for the “good” of the relationship, have a falling out, separate and date others while secretly longing for each other , etc. the main characters started on that route but have developed by being honest with each other and making decisions that seem much more realistic.
The supporting cast are great personalities and add depth to the storyline. All characters are developing as the series grows.
I’ve been enjoying the series and look forward to continuing through the rest.

I really enjoyed this book and almost didn’t get it because one reviewer mentioned the quote, end quote part of the book. I honestly don’t know how it could have been done differently and did not find it difficult to listen too. I found the book to be very informative and well researched with much of the info attributed to court transcripts, FBI reports and published articles. It was a great listen.

While the League hopes to hold on to secrecy for a little bit longer, they're preparing for the worst in terms of human reactions. Molly Harper is awesome!

I didn’t realize that I had read a series written by Ms Harper until finishing this audio book but I loved this story and now it makes sense, she is an awesome writer. This is a fun read with a murder mystery thrown in for good measure. The romance is the main attraction here and so well written. The details are well reasoned out and I got completely lost in the narrative. I can’t wait to listen to the next book narrated by these two great talents. All in all, if you love a good love story with a lot of paranormal and a little mystery than this is the listen for you.
