Well constructed. Hero and characters we can care about. This is well worth your time. Enjoy.

Will Fain is a fun hero. He just takes care of the problem at hand. Hope more of these books will be made into audiobooks.

Love the narrator. I kind of wish it didn’t be connected. I think I like closure.

This guy should be reading the news—definitely NOT Smoke Jensen books. I’ve listened to ALL those books and this NOT up to snuff. It’s “phoned in.”

Does anyone audition these narrators? Our hero may be young, but I think his voice has changed by the time he becomes a Deputy Sheriff.

My disappointment that this same high pitched voiced woman has narrated the next two books in this series. Do these authors not know these people need diction lessons to LOWER THAT REGISTER?

Lindsay is NOT a ditz. After a long wait for another book, this one is disappointing. Obvious from moment of kidnapping what the criminal wants. Panic is not where this character goes. Back and forth between inn and home just a time waster. Did Ms MacKinlay write this book?

Less courtroom more excitement. I had begun to grow tired of too much court shenanigans. More Marcus and investigation is my speed. Andy’s sense of humor and sarcasm and dog love are what I love most about
