Story
When summoned to a fantastical world and granted powers by a broken System, most freshly minted protagonists would strap on their big-boy boots and get ready for their stats to start climbing. But Fischer isn't like most MCs. In fact, he doesn't want to be a hero at all. Fame? Fortune? Power? He had enough of all that in his old life. Discovering forbidden fishing techniques and petting every cute animal that comes within scritching distance? Now that's a good time.

Ok
Every time the author starts a chapter with different characters I'm excited for there view points on the world he has brought to life, its great.
When he brings in characters to interact with Zack. It's good.
I'm exhausted listening to Zack. I'm exhausted listening to how he can get, or change a skill.
He gets his sister back.... an a cpl pages...
His ex tries to kill him a cpl paragraphs..
I'm tired of screen, his dow, his stats.
I bought book 3.
If it doesn't improve, moving on.

Jason is actually maturing.
Really.
We all know he has amazing abilities, in this book, he starts to ... well mature.
I'm trying to avoid spoiling anything.
If this was book 1, I'd be searching the internet for book 2... any hint of it.
Book 11 apr may, best guess.

Lana, is a minor character.
The Mc goes full gay.
Super-powered now.
Mysteriously is able to win over 80 percent of the vote.
Deals that make no since, gives all his ownings away.
My intention at the end of book 5 was to read to series end.
I was hoping that the Australian series characters might tie in... nope.

The plan was to take away Lord Truestrike’s powerbase, then move against him, with Hallie working to strengthen their ties with the nobility. Sean knew better than to get involved with that side of things, knowing he’d just say the wrong things to the wrong people.

Story
I wish more of the nudges that shaped history were the gentle kind—the signing of a treaty, the commitment to protect the weak, the spreading of a story that would enlighten minds. Alas, humans are more prone to stagnate than to change willingly, and so most nudges are given with force and terror and blood. Most nudges come at the slicing of a blade or the searing of a flame. The final chapters of Sable’s beginning certainly did. More blades than I hope to see again, and the fire…who could ever forget the fire?

The story plot is great.
The development, not so much. It's so frustrating. I love the MC, but hate how she reacts, same thing so many times. like hundreds of times.....
No.. I listened to 39 hours of this... waiting, expecting...
Finally something... starts to happen... the chapter ends, with the End of the book.
A prequel to the entire series starts..... nope I'm done with this nonsense.
