About this listen

Finally settled into Accord, Sean’s work had barely begun. The plan was to take away Lord Truestrike’s powerbase, then move against him, with Hallie working to strengthen their ties with the nobility. Sean knew better than to get involved with that side of things, knowing he’d just say the wrong things to the wrong people.

While Hallie worked on alliances, Sean focused on healing, bringing the conflict with Truestrike to the fore— the Lord tried to use his influence to push Sean out of the healing guild. The attempt failed spectacularly, as not only was Sean not thrown out, he ended with the majority of the guild siding with him.

Having the healers behind him helped Sean do more. Truestrike’s plots to injure the city guard kept being thwarted, and with the healers on his side, Sean was able to save the majors being targeted. His actions in stopping every attempt to destabilize the guards earned him goodwill with Commander Queensblood.

Beyond helping the guard, Sean also enforced a broken Agreement, bringing him before Advisor Mackenzie Earthfoot. He was meant to explain why he’d cost a noble his hand, but Sean did what he always did: he proved his innocence by helping someone. Giving Mackenzie her foot back put her into debt to him, giving him powerful allies just as the gala began.

The gala was a night of politics. Sean healed those his friends brought him to and tried to not react when he finally met Truestrike. The conflict that happened wasn’t with Lord Truestrike, but his daughter, Trisha. After asking Sean for a dance, the Dame accused Sean of killing Darragh back in Oakwood, then shoved him and stormed off the dance floor.

With the gala over, Sean wondered what was going to happen next. He’d made more allies, been recognized before all of society by the Advisor, and his clash with Truestrike was known. The only thing he was sure of was that the Queens would learn about him, and now, his time was running out before they came to Accord.

Still good

Everytime a new book comes out in this series I lose sleep. That should give an indication how good I find them.

Exceptional

I’ve said it in many of the more recent reviews in this series I appreciate the reduction in descriptives and time when it came to sexual situations.

This was wonderful closing a solid Arc and being ready for the final parts of this series coming. I have truly enjoyed these characters there are a lot of them and they flow easily without being forgotten or what could be considered forced.

Five star book five star series

This book was amazing. The series is so intriguing that you need to know what happened next. Now the question is, will you take the title or pass on it

A five star book if I've ever red one.

Cheers goes out to Andrea for a top performance as usual.
Daniel did a great job with all aspects of the story. I am sad that book ten would be the last if I'm reading things correctly, but things ending at the MC meeting and dealing with whatever the queens bring is fitting.
The only problem with the book was that it was too short . Hopefully the last book is longer and not a lot crammed into as few words as possible.

The end is near

Schinhofen is a quirky writer. Take that statement both ways. The narration is always excellent from Andrea. I hate things being dragged out as long as they have for this series so hopefully the next one is the last. Let it be an end to an entertaining series. It’s time.

The best of the best

This book is the latest in a great line of wonderful books from an author that can’t help but make you hate him for having to wait for the next one. The series has been one of the best that I have read and then listen to several times, and that’s all there has several series that make you do this. You can’t help but go back and start over just to be enveloped in the environment the characters that he creates, his choice of narrators is one of the best in the business and I look forward to anything that she narrates

great book

great book, doesn't lag or rush. doesn't unnecessarily pad the runtime and doesn't forget about a single woman. every part of the harem has their place and parts in the story. which is hard for some writers to do, especially with a harem of this size.
