I like the plot and I enjoy the characters a lot. It’s fun to explore the growth.

I had never considered a deck building book interesting in any way. I never even liked the deck building games out there. I looked at it all with the same interest as cleaning out my fridge. But this series is absolutely wonderful. I even got onto patron to get myself access to the next book’s chapters.

There had been so much build up and interesting plot left unresolved and not explored when it all just ended suddenly. Wish it had been able to wrap up so much more before all of it had just been halted and over. Very disappointing.

This book is absolutely wonderful. It’s better than all the other books combined. Now I am just waiting in eager anticipation for the next book. I’ll listen to this book again and again while I wait.

This book had a wonderful plot and story that was interesting and I really enjoyed this respective from the vampire side. Though Thea gets really caught up in what it would be like to be bored with life in general so much that it gets a little redundant. But the plot more than makes up for it.

Great story, great plot. I really really wish that the narrator didn't sound like he was trying to mimic a robot so much.

This book was easily the hardest of Jim Butcher's books to get into. The plot was great and the characters are wonderful. Even the narrator is fantastic. There just isn't enough information for a person to understand the gravity of all the situations. I am hoping that more books will bring the info that I need.

I love the creativity and fun perspective. The way that your always hearing what R. Is thinking is so humorous. Some people might not get the humor. It's not funny because of awesome punch lines.

What made the experience of listening to Halo the most enjoyable?

I like the descriptions of what is being thought as things happen. Most books just say that whatever happened and so they reacted by doing this. This book gets into Jon's head and you see what it is that causes him to do what he does. It's awesome!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Jon. By far Jon. He is still so human after being altered so completely.

What does Todd McLaren bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He totally reads the military speak the way that you would expect them to be talking to each other. I'm not a "sir yes sir," type of reader and I don't think my brain would keep the enthusiasm up enough to enjoy this book on my own. Listening to Todd is awesome!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Not really anything emotional. A few times I wanted to go out and beat the snot out of aliens or play chicken in a space ship.

Any additional comments?

I wish I could have a A.I in my head.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Not really. It has a great story but I can't bring myself to read the second.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Extremely disappointed.

Do you think Storm Siren needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

No. It's so hard to imagine life after this book for her. Just thinking about it all is just so depressing.

Any additional comments?

The main character is a spoiled brat that throws temper tantrums and hissy fits. The other characters make the book worth reading. So.... Not really interested in book two.
