You interview a potential new employee who has the résumé to do the job, but something tells you not to offer the position. Amazing book, accurate tactics by a Marine
Reviewed: 01-31-24
This book has extremely detailed explanations of real life tactics we Marines actually use prior to, during, and after deploying to a zone that may or may not have combat situations and life threatening consequences of taking one action over another, or not acting at all. The visualization made by the authors is fantastically accurate. Very well done. Short but to the point, and invaluable to everyone.

One of the best books for preparing the return of Christ Jesus!!

Jerry B. Jenkins’ writing is apparent in this book. The characters come to life and one can feel as if they are immersed into the story with the characters. I love this series and it far surpasses many other stories that are apocalyptic or pre-tribulation and pre and post rapture.

Story
God is seeking and equipping ordinary men and women whose greatest qualification is that they make themselves available to him. In this audio Bible study, bestselling author and long-time pastor Jim Cymbala inspires followers of Jesus to follow the call of the Holy Spirit and to carry the "flame" of our witness to this dark world. A rallying call and Bible study both, Cymbala draws on examples of ordinary people in the book of Acts—as well as modern-day testimonies—to show how God can use anyone and everyone who simply submits to him and obeys his call.

This book is amazing. Pastor Jim Cymbala really points out through a biblical and spiritual way just how important prayer is in our lives, and how much we lack in prayer, especially in the western world.

When she peers into a mirror, she sees someone else staring back - an image identical to herself in every detail save one: the mirror image has blue eyes, but Elizabeth's eyes are brown. She is told by her mirror counterpart, "Liz," that she can enter any mirror she wants, and when curiosity prevails over fear and she enters the mirror, trading places with Liz, the horror begins as Liz wreaks havoc with what was a normal life.

Amazing book!!
Reviewed: 08-22-23
This book was an amazing book in so many ways. The perspectives and specific dialogue and interactions between the many people mentioned in this book bring to life the historical experiences described. James Bradley did such an amazing job investigating, searching, living in and visiting the historical places mentioned, and his descriptions were top notch.
I am a retired Marine, and in 2004, I was blessed with the opportunity to clean the gravesites and burial places of those in Iwo Jima, before the annual ceremony commenced, and I had the opportunity to meet the emperor of Japan, and surviving Iwo Jima veterans on both sides of the war. I spent a few nights in the barracks that are on Iwo Jima, and it was the most somber experience I have ever had. It was cold, even though the weather was not cold, and the barracks were not cold. I could hear what sounded like whistling and subtle wailing while trying to sleep in my barracks room there. Bradley describes things so accurately, just based off of what I saw when I was there on Mount Suribachi, on Iwo Jima. I recommend everyone read/listen to this book, it is one of the most captivating and fascinating books I have ever read/listened to.

Revelation was written because God wants us to know what the future holds. For Christians, the prophetic truths within provide wisdom, reassurance, and discernment - while for unbelievers, Revelation is a plea to receive God’s grace while there is still time. Best-selling author Amir Tsarfati examines what Revelation makes known about the end times and beyond.

In this book, Amir breaks down the revelations of the book and the connecting contextual verses throughout scripture. This book, and the movie, "Before The Wrath," are immensely important to the context in which God tells us of the second coming of Christ, for His bride, the church. Praise God for disciples like Amir!! God bless Amir, and his entire organization, led by Christ!!

Story
In 2012, on his third tour of duty in Afghanistan, an improvised explosive device left Dan Crenshaw's right eye destroyed and his left blinded. Only through the careful hand of his surgeons, and what doctors called a miracle, did Crenshaw's left eye recover partial vision. And yet, he persevered, completing two more deployments. Why? There are certain stories we tell ourselves about the hardships we face—we can become paralyzed by adversity or we can adapt and overcome. We can be fragile or we can find our fortitude. Crenshaw delivers a set of lessons to help you do just that.

This book has such a great approach to all the things wrong with our society in this country (USA) today. The problem in society is simple, people avoid any suffering or pain and have close to no work ethic, close to no ambition, and excuses for why everyone else is wrong. I wish we had more representatives like Dan Crenshaw!!
