Story
Nesta Archeron has always been prickly-proud, swift to anger, and slow to forgive. And ever since being forced into the Cauldron and becoming High Fae against her will, she's struggled to find a place for herself within the strange, deadly world she inhabits. Against the sweeping backdrop of a world seared by war and plagued with uncertainty, Nesta and Cassian battle monsters from within and without as they search for acceptance - and healing - in each other's arms.

Fay Gone Porn Gone Hunger Games
Reviewed: 03-25-25
Excessive sex -I would rather listen to Erotica for that- splashed and sometimes soaked in hatred, anger, and blood.
It feels as though the author ran out of ideas to make an unlikable character into a heroine and decided to take a bunch of titles ranging fron Sen inspiration to blatant Hunger Games, put it all in a blender and thus, this book was born.
The narrator, Stina Nielsen is brilliant-at times- and then, many moments are spoiled because she forgets what character is speaking and she mixes up the voices, intention, and performance; as a result, Cassian (I don’t know the spelling so I apologize) sometimes sounds like a sissy and Feyre’s husband sounds geriatric!
Frankly, not the best book of the series. If it is to continue, I hope that the story will retake its original pace, includingthe sexy but light and actually appealing character of the previous books.

Thank Goodness For The New Narrator!!!
Reviewed: 02-25-25
This book is as good as the previous ones except that the narrator is sooooo much better! I seriously couldn’t stand the other narrator and her elongated affected reading.
With the new voice these characters came to life in a more “real” and active way!
I’m jumping right into the next book!

Story
April 7, 1944 - This date marks the successful escape of two Slovak prisoners from one of the most heavily-guarded and notorious concentration camps of Nazi Germany. The escapees, Rudolf Vrba and Alfred Wetzler, fled over 100 miles to be the first to give the graphic and detailed descriptions of the atrocities of Auschwitz. Originally published in the early 1960s, I Escaped from Auschwitz is the striking autobiography of none other than Rudolf Vrba himself. Vrba details his life leading up to, during, and after his escape from his 21-month internment in Auschwitz.

This is one of those books that I would like to rate really low but not because of the story, author, performance or anything such; but rather, because the reality herein related should not have ever taken place!
I am moved and outraged! Heartbroken and exhilarated, shocked, appalled; extremely sad for humanity, for what was, and for what still is -in so many (other) ways and places every day.
Absolutely NO living being should ever be subjected to such cruelty!
Thank you for sharing your story -along with that of so many others-. May you be blessed. May the souls of those who didn’t make it, find peace and Light. May you wake up one day to find your heart filled with forgiveness. May humanity learn to accept and love each other, and live as One!
Let there be Peace

Story
It's been over a decade since Nora left her hometown of Scupper Island, Maine, and very seldom looked back. She's carved out a successful life in Boston, where no one knows her as the awkward girl with the delinquent sister and the dad who left, but a not-as-dramatic-as-it-sounds brush with death has her taking stock of her life. Inspired to reconnect with her prickly mother and snarky teenage niece, Nora returns home for the summer, where she's forced to face the people she's spent the last ten years trying to avoid.

Unfortunately I cannot say anything better about this book. The story is quite boring and never really reaches a high point; the narrator is so monotonous that it is hard to tell the different characters apart.
Frankly, I finished it out of discipline and a bit of hope that it would get better but, it is BAD and I’m not sure of whether the story or the narrator is worse. I would say “stay away from it!”

That is exactly what this book evokes. I actually loved it and the only reason I withheld one star is because Emily’s performance is not at the level of Andrew Eiden’s who does a beautiful job! So much so that his narration saves the story and made me stay, regardless of Emily -sorry, I can’t even remember her last name-
I do recommend this book for a nice, feel good listen.

I was hesitant about this one but, got it all the same, and… I’m so glad I did!
It’s not going to get a Pulitzer, nor a Nobel or anything of the sort but, it’s a nice “feel good” story and both performances are great! It’s actually one of those that you wish were a bit longer, or came with a part 2 (hint, hint)!
I would definitely listen to the continuation of the series if it is narrated by the same people!

Good, Well Written Story
Reviewed: 11-09-24
This is an interesting story, well written and developed; the characters are nice and appealing but, the narration was a bit rushed in some parts, particularly at the beginning; it got much better after a few chapters but it felt like from time to time there was a sort of disconnect, as though she had had to re-record a piece which was then edited into the rest making it sound strange.
Overall I enjoyed The Witch’s Tree and listened to it in 2 days! So that must say something 😉

Cured is not only the first insider account of the early days of the band, it is a revealing look at the artistic evolution of the enigmatic Robert Smith, the iconic lead singer, songwriter, and innovative guitarist at the heart of The Cure. A deeply rebellious, sensitive, tough, and often surprisingly "normal" young man, Smith was from the start destined for stardom, a fearless nonconformist and provocateur who soon found his own musical language through which to express his considerable and unique talent.

Two Imaginary Boys is so beautifully written! It is told in such a raw, honest and heartfelt way that it immediately went to my heart.
I have been a The Cure fan since the early 1980’s and I don’t think it ever even crossed my mind that they had undergone such hardships!
I applaud and admire Lol’s sincerity and I am so happy that his life has taken this beautiful turn!
