Story
America is in crisis, from the university to the workplace. Toxic ideas first spread by higher education have undermined humanistic values, fueled intolerance, and widened divisions in our larger culture. The Diversity Delusion argues that the root of this problem is the belief in America’s endemic racism and sexism, a belief that has engendered a metastasizing diversity bureaucracy in society and academia.

Story
Sandy Kinsolving's once-glittering life hangs by a thread; his future depends on his wife's inheritance and whether or not she's about to throw him out on his ear. What he wouldn't give for a solution to his money and marriage problems. If this were an Alfred Hitchcock movie, the solution would be obvious. Enter a stranger with wife problems of his own, who offers a violent - and mutually advantageous - proposal. Then, in the time it takes to whisper a word, Kinsolving's normal life ends.

This had a bit too much killing and with more gory details than most Stone Barrington novels. I put it at the low end of Stuart Woods SB novels I also wonder how Stone can continue being a “yellow dog democrat” based on the performance of our current senile Pres Biden and his handlers. The corruption and lies and mistakes in governance should be abhorrent to any rational citizen. Don Pearce

From the Russian mafia or angry ex husbands. I look forward to more creativity from Stuart Woods but I do wish he would leave the f words to Deno and his cops. It would add a bit of class to these books if the f word could be limited to those who one would normally expect. I know this is based in New York where the F word is part of their every day language but Stuart should k ow that is not the case for most of the country. Don Pearce

It seems that Woods has run out of good stories for his Stone Barrington series. I like the characters of Stone and Deno as well as many of his 1st 50 books but the last 2 years of books seem to have very thin plots. I really hope he can get more creative in future stories to keep his readers tuned in.

This was clearly one of Stuart Woods’ best books that I have read. It has well defined characters (thanks to preceding novels about Will and Kate) and a very interesting drama of a close Presidential race. It also does not include so much of the casual sex that defines many of the Stone Barrington novels. The only problem is that it represents the Democrats in an undeserving positive light…..thus ignoring the pervasive corruption of this political party. Don Pearce

In 2014's The Accidental Superpower, geopolitical strategist Peter Zeihan made the case that geographic, demographic, and energy trends were unravelling the global system. The Absent Superpower is a great exposition of global energy sources and it’s impact on the world

I really enjoyed “The Absent Superpower” because of the excellent insight it provided about the causation of global powers’ actions…including aggression. In fact, I consider this as a must read for all global country leaders to broaden their understanding about their and others motivation for reciprocal trade agreements and deterrents from military conflict. I would highly recommend that Zeihan update this book with a new one….”Superpowers reimagined” ….to include the emergence of China as a contender for the #1 power as well as the precipitous negotiations between Europe and Russia who appears ready to fulfill Peter’s predictions in this book for a Tanker War beginning with a takeover of Ukraine.
