Story
In its long history, the English language has had many lawmakers - those who have tried to regulate or otherwise organize the way we speak. The Lexicographer's Dilemma poses a pair of questions: What does proper English mean? And who gets to say what's right? Our ideas of correct or proper English have a history, and today's debates over the state of the language - whether about Ebonics in schools, the unique use of language in a South Park episode, or split infinitives in the Times - make sense only in historical context.

Pésima edición
Reviewed: 06-14-16
Would you consider the audio edition of El Amor en los Tiempos del Cólera [Love in the Time of Cholera] to be better than the print version?
Any additional comments?

Would you listen to Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Book 1 again? Why?
Absolutely yes, this is the kind of book you can come back not only once again but may times and I am sure you always find something new.
Have you listened to any of Stephen Fry’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
This is my first and I looking forward to find more books narrated by Fry.
Any additional comments?
This is the kind of book that you can hardly ad something new in the review, it's been told everything about it, positive and negative. This is the kind of book you have to discover by yourself without checking the reviews.
Perhaps the only thing that I can say is about the narrator –I read the audiobook– who turned to be awesome, maybe the best narrator I've heard since I'm in the audiobook reader mood. A book like Harry Potter deserved a perfect narrator.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes
Any additional comments?

What did you like best about Breve historia de la alquimia? What did you like least?
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Was Breve historia de la alquimia worth the listening time?
Any additional comments?

At least one-third of the people we know are introverts. They are the ones who prefer listening to speaking; who innovate and create but dislike self-promotion; who favor working on their own over working in teams. It is to introverts—Rosa Parks, Chopin, Dr. Seuss, Steve Wozniak—that we owe many of the great contributions to society.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I love this book and I definitely recommend it to a friend, I like the way the Susan Cain explains introverts are as normal as loud people, specially when about one third to a half population are introverts even they don't recognise or don't accept to be an introvert. I think she makes a good balance between both personalities and makes us understand that it's ok being a quiet person no matter how much other people push us to be talkative and no matter how much society thinks wants us to be in the same room all the time.
If I had to describe this book I would say is about tolerance and understanding other people.
What other book might you compare Quiet to and why?
It's my first time whit this topic.
What about Kathe Mazur’s performance did you like?
She reads as calm and relaxed as if she was an introvert, I love her performance.

Why did the line of ancient humans who eventually evolved into us survive when the others were shown the evolutionary door? Chip Walter draws on new scientific discoveries to tell the fascinating tale of how our survival was linked to our ancestors being born more prematurely than others, having uniquely long and rich childhoods, evolving a new kind of mind that made us resourceful and emotionally complex; how our highly social nature increased our odds of survival; and why we became self aware in ways that no other animal seems to be.

What made the experience of listening to Los hombres que no amaban a las mujeres [Men Who Hate Women] the most enjoyable?

Where does A Short History of Nearly Everything rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Despite all good comments and ratings I was a little bit insecure about this book, what finally made me to give it a chance was the review of Patrick Rothfuss, one of my favorites authors, and he wasn't wrong. What an excellent reading, sometimes I felt my head was going to explode with a lot of information but every single page was worth to read and after reading it, all I can say is that science is pretty close to "I only know that I know nothing," maybe we never will.
