So much information I didn't already know, and presented in a very interesting way --- by contrasting the various nation states and their transitions through three primary stages of national development. Unfortunately, all too often Asia (or portions of it) is presented as a monolith, with less about the national differences and more about their similarities as the storyline. I highly recommend it.

I enjoyed this book as it was crazy enough to be fun and still (maybe) scientifically and mathematically accurate. Who knows? Who cares? I know I'll never use any of the information in any meaningful way, so it doesn't matter to me really. It's just a little fun.

A pretty good book, worth listening to, definitely a different point of view than most would have, and constructed of a number of short speeches and articles written over the last ~250 years. As a result, a good bit of the book is based on situations that are no longer relevant. if you can get past that and a few articles that are just plain nonsense, you'll find some nuggets of thought which normally people wouldn't entertain. Other than the speeches and articles that seem to be written by knuckleheads, I thought it was really good, albeit some of it non-relevant in the current political environment. I realize calling some of the authors knuckleheads is a cheap shot, let's just say their logic was often circular or non-existent. Like everyone I'm sure they're brilliant in their own way.

Comprehensive coverage of a misunderstood practice, I highly recommend it for anyone struggling with a little (or a lot of) added weight, or more serious health issues like prediabetes or diabetes. I have had success using the info in the book.

I now want a hard copy where I can flag a few pages, and plan to gift copies to my children. This is a very thorough book. That said, I would not have picked up a paper copy had I not listened to it first, as it covers some unexpected topics and is very entertaining as presented. Highly recommend.

I liked it, and it was still interesting even with a lot of backstory and sidebars that could have been trimmed if you just wanted to know the conclusion, but what fun is that?

We need more people like Kristi in government, and this book is a testament to her down-to-earth practical grit. If you're looking for Purlitzer Prize level writing, this will surely disappoint, and the performance was a bit homey too, but beneath the unpolished surface is a patriot's story. It is the story of a woman of conviction and of determination. Of one faced with real challenges and blessed with the can do attitude to overcome. A story of the product of the American heartland. A great and inspirational story. My rating is harsh, but I enjoyed the book and recommend it for the content.

Listen to this book! It's hard to imagine a more important message for our time. This is a book actually full of messages, something for everyone, and the underlying message is capable of bringing us back together like never before. Enjoy, I am sure you will.
