Story
Workaholic Erin Ryder was on the fast track to self-destruction. Reeling after her lover walked out on her, she turned to booze and caffeine to make it through each day. After a family intervention, she finds herself on a remote ranch in New Mexico - on womyn’s land - to detox and heal. No cell service, no internet - she’s convinced she won’t last three days, much less for the three-month sentence her father has mandated.

Beautiful story

Erin's forced journey to healing and discovery was nicely done but felt should have explored Melanie's story more. Overall a very good story... worth the read/credit. Narrator didn't do the story justice though

Story
Personal trainer Rebecca McCall is furious when her coworker is sidelined and she's forced to teach the “Be Your Best Bride” class. As if being a size two for your wedding photos is all for which exercise is good. Could the whole thing get more vain and sexist? The class is full of preening, giggling bridezillas, but one woman stands out: the one who confesses she's only there because her fiancée signed her up. Who does that to someone about whom they care? And why can't Rebecca take her eyes off her?

Wow! This has to be my 2nd best from Beers (1st is The Do Over) Such a tender love connection between the two and Beers did soo well bringing out Spencer's inner struggles, touched some nerve.
And not forgetting Lori, brilliant as always.. please do more lesflic books.. Wish could have added more between the two post Spencer's struggles.. want more and more and more of these two.

Reviewed: 10-31-19
Struggled to finish this... 16 chapters in and there hasn't been any kind of... real connection between the two.. nothing.. not even about how they connected before I even started reading the book. Half the book (and I mean 5 goood looong hours) is based on one day.. intro day... in the hospital.... explanations about medical procedures ... atleast got the sense of how it really is in the or room.. but felt too much... every procedure explained which I felt removed the attention from how the two characters were supposed to develop post 1st meeting...
The other half of the book feels rushed.. especially when Syd talking about her past experiences... felt lots of details that I was looking for in the first part of the book were all crammed in the last 4 or 5 chapters, leaving little time to merge it into the story.. feel like there is more to come..
I am a big fun of you Radclyffe but this was a miss.
Cool that Honor and Quinn are back.. favourite couple from the medical romance series...

Story
Former US Army pilot Lauren and Police Training Instructor Kim share a love of country, a sense of duty, and grief for a woman who left them too soon. That she was a friend to one and a lover to the other should at least give them something on which to build a friendship. But from the moment they met, they've been at odds. When Lauren gets a job at the same police department as Kim, they are forced to at least fake professional respect. Eventually, respect and begrudging attraction turn to affection and then something deeper.

Cassidy "Cazz" Warner, a smart, sporty, reticent newcomer to the senior class at Claiborne High, unwittingly attracts the attention of its most popular girl: Sarah Perkins, a bright, athletic, charismatic beauty. Just as the two begin to understand how extraordinary their friendship is, another cross-country move wrests Cazz away. Ten years later, Cazz unexpectedly runs into Sarah during a fraud investigation at Sarah's charitable foundation. The women are inexorably drawn to each other, but Cazz's investigation into the foundation's finances limits her ability to be entirely honest with Sarah.

Story of healing
Reviewed: 08-12-19
This was a good one... Emily's character is strong... She came out strong really strong mentally and perhaps emotionally too after they came back together.. Only tiny thing that I didnt like was blocking her 'partner's during the healing process.. that was kind of selfish for her to do... but they came back together..
