Fascinating story of a ubiquitous cooking personality, Ina. Humble and self effacing yet incredibly successful, I enjoyed this autobiography thoroughly. A pleasurable listen, much like her cookbooks and Food Network shows.

Engaging an entertaining life story of a very recognizable actor of our time across the stage and screen.

I enjoyed his stories of coming of age in the theater and then the career shift to the screen with TGN and movies. Definitely a fun listen and would recommend.

Tova and Marcellus story of loss and renewal is a page tuner. Cameron can be very annoying and is a thinly drawn character compared to the leading characters of the story. The narrator does a good job at voicing all the characters.

Fascinating dive into the world of art through different perspectives. Engaging but a little long. Could have done with a bit more editing to tighten up the story lines.

I knew going in that this book was a story of Sydney‘s time on the track and her journey as a Christian. However, the book was a lot more about her journey as a Christian and finding Jesus Christ and not enough about the track. Overall I was disappointed.

I really wanted to like this story of struggle and success by one of the few but growing community of female chefs and I stuck it out to the end but I would not recommend this book. It was scattered and lacking a through line. I’m fine to jump between timelines and stories but there needs to be connective tissue to tie it all together just like a great rib eye. Disappointed.

Truly miraculous story that of Tommy Rivs battle against cancer amidst the height of the COVID-19 pandemic and his beautiful wife’s fight to save him while learning the depth of her own strength. The last couple chapters get a bit repetitive, but capture her thoughts in the moment during the course of his treatment so that is understandable. Overall a tremendous story, truly moving and thought-provoking.

This love letter to life, love of family, grief and the beauty of art as showcased at the Met is not to be missed. Patrick Bringley take’s you with him on his journey of self reflection and discovery including grieving his brother and celebrating his young and growing family. His love and appreciation of the works at the Met, including many of the old masters and overlooked sections take you there along side him as a guard. I’ll revisit this book before my next visit to the Met for sure!

I’ve always admired Kara as a runner, and even more so now, after listening to her book. In it she shares her strength, grit and determination in the face of unspeakable acts by people who were supposed to support and help her. A must read for runners.

Everyone has a story to share. This is Harry’s and he tells his truth throughout. It is not definitive, bit his story that deserves to be heard.
