Story
Aidyn Kelley is talented, ambitious, and ready for a more serious assignment than the fluff pieces she’s been getting as a cub reporter for the Kansas City Star. In her eagerness, she pushes too hard, earning herself the menial task of writing an obituary for an unremarkable woman who’s just entered hospice care.

Story
Savannah Cade's dreams are coming true. The Claire Donovan, editor-in-chief of the most successful romance publishing company in the country, has requested to see the manuscript Savannah's been secretly writing. The only problem: she's an editor for a different company, and their philosophy is only highbrow works are worth printing and romance should be reserved for the lowest level of Dante's inferno.

Poorly written, terrible narration
Reviewed: 05-28-22
I really wanted to like this book but it was highly unrealistic. The narration was too fast with no pause between characters or artistic delivery. It was very hard to listen to.

Some adult content I didn’t expect

A little more racy in some places that I would have expected from a book about a biblical woman.

Good story/ Confusing narrator

Narrator didn’t have differing voices for the characters so there were many confusing sections. Otherwise, a good story about love, redemption and the healing power of God’s love.

Poor read, inaccurately billed as Christian
Reviewed: 04-21-12
What was most disappointing about Tim Callahan???s story?
The story was very dry and not very compelling. It just didn't grab me and interest me. I kept going for awhile but finally had to call it quits. Other than overall quality, one thing that really bothered me was the amount of time spent discussing the female lead's chest. It was given just as much "air time" as some of the characters. It just didn't sit well with me or seem to fit in with a story being billed as Christian. It cheapened the male characters' appeal. It might be better to re-categorize as more mainstream fiction.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
I felt this narrator didn't add anything to the story at all. It certainly didn't redeem the content and definately detracted further.
