The narrator is perfect for this book. Amplified by the injection of synonyms for and along with key words. I have enjoyed repeated listenings. 5 stars.

The other reviews were correct. Buy this audiobook if you have more than a passing interest in neurology. At least an introductory awareness of brain anatomy and nomenclature required for complete enjoyment. Fascinating new information!

A neurologist explains how he weighs into the stream to take the hand of the patient and walk them back out to dryland in other words to a normal life
There are some good human interest tails of in the patients and the neurology residents and the senior doctors. There is even some neuroanatomy and neuropathology.
Spellbinding if you are interested, probably unbearable if you're not

Multiple narrators, no indexing, no table of contents, a wide range poets - some famous and now a couple of infamous poets. It seems that Garrison Keillor does less than half of the poems. Not all of the woe is gone from Lake Wobegon.

I did not enjoy the narrator. The content is borderline boring. I happen to enjoy etymology and language history. That's the reason I didn't return the book. Good to sleep with it playing.
