Story
Obsessed with creating life itself, Victor Frankenstein plunders graveyards for the material to fashion a new being, which he shocks into life with electricity. But his botched creature, rejected by Frankenstein and denied human companionship, sets out to destroy his maker and all that he holds dear. Mary Shelley's chilling Gothic tale was conceived when she was only 18, living with her lover Percy Shelley near Byron's villa on Lake Geneva.

Beware the abridged

Richard Pasco has a delightful voice that I don't mind listening to, and Frankenstein (or the modern Prometheus) is an amazing tale, but I whole-heatedly loathe abridged books.
Unless not receiving the entire story is your kink, avoid this title.

Great if a touch short

I love thee various actors lending their voices to the production of this story, and the story itself is wonderful. My only gripe would be that I wish the story was longer.
I would recommend this though, it's interesting and fun.

For a revenge story, a most wonderful ending.

the best use of 52 hours that I can conceive of. the narration was wonderful, the story was easy enough to follow, but the whole book is a delight.
I had been meaning to read this book for a long time, and I find that I have not wished in vain. This was everything and more than I had hoped.

Story
The Zombie War came unthinkably close to eradicating humanity. Max Brooks, driven by the urgency of preserving the acid-etched first-hand experiences of the survivors from those apocalyptic years, traveled across the United States of America and throughout the world, from decimated cities that once teemed with upwards of 30 million souls, to the most remote and inhospitable areas of the planet.

maybe I misinterpreted the end, but I'm pretty sure this was an abridged version of the story. Call me a stickler, but I'd give it 5 overall if it was unabridged. Other than that it was a solid listen, I enjoyed it.

Story
In this gripping work of historical fiction, Endore's werewolf, an outcast named Bertrand Caillet, travels across pre-Revolutionary France seeking to calm the beast within. Stunning in its sexual frankness and eerie, fog-enshrouded visions, this audiobook was decidedly influential for the generations of horror and science fiction authors who came afterward.

This story was enjoyable, but so very melancholic. The way the writing goes, thank God for the last chapter and then appendix. Brilliant story.

I was unprepared for how short this story was, but I still loved it immensely. Short, dense, but easily digestible and the narration is brilliant. Nothing fancy but it keeps you interested.
