If you could sum up Iced: A Resort to Murder Mystery in three words, what would they be?

Iced: A Resort to Murder Mystery by Avery Daniels is the first book in a new series located in Colorado. I really enjoyed this book and am looking forward to reading the next book in the series. I live in Colorado, so I especially enjoy hearing about familiar settings. I found this book to be a quick read, with a well developed plot and characters. Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes I would because I really liked this fun, emotional, romance comedy. I enjoy escaping the real world in books, and this one does the trick.

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favorite character would have to be Joanna Price who changes and grows during the book. She is strong, spunky, and quick witted. I like the way she speaks her mind, although she sometimes regrets it. Joanna's character makes us feel what she is feeling.

Have you listened to any of Tami Leah Lacy’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No I have not, but I will look for her.

Any additional comments?

Great all round fun romantic comedy.

Would you listen to The Mysterious Doll again? Why?

Yes , I would listen to The Mysterious Doll again because it was an interesting story, full of twists. With any book you always pick up more of the story the second time around.

What does Diane Lehman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Diane Lehman does an excellent job of narrating this book. There are several different people and she has a special gift for separating them out to make them unique. Her voice is also easy going and enjoyable to listen to.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I have listened to all the prior books in this series, and this one is my favorite. This is the fourth book in the Amelia Moore Detective Series. I enjoyed learning about the different places Amelia and her partner Rick travel to, and about the progress of their relationship. Overall this book made me feel happy.

Any additional comments?

I look forward to listening or reading the next book in the series.

Any additional comments?

I really enjoyed this book, very suspenseful. The characters and plot was well developed. Ten people on an Island who are suppose to be strangers, living on their own for a year. Quickly things start going wrong, and the first murder occurs. It has to be someone on the Island, one of them.

I did not care for the narrator, I found her accent hard to listen to. Took me a long time to get use to it. I think I would have liked to read this book better than listening to this audio book. Overall I enjoyed this novel.

I liked how this book hooked me from the very beginning. I just wanted to know what happened next to Jamie, Cameron, and her daughter, Sarah.

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favorite character is Jamie because she is human and very real to me. Jamie has so much going on in her life including her special needs daughter and dealing with her dead husband.

Which scene was your favorite?

There are so many good scenes in this book, it was hard to make up my mine. I love how Cameron treats Jamie and her daughter Sarah.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, it is a short book. What I would really like is to listen to all 6 parts at once.

Any additional comments?

I can not wait to listen to part 2.

Would you listen to "D" Is for Drunk again? Why?

I don't think I would listen to the book again, because I want to read/listen to the rest of the series. I have already purchased "A" is for Actress, so I can start at the beginning.

Have you listened to any of Madeline Mrozek’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No I have not, but the narration was enjoyable.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I really enjoyed the humor and surprises in this book. Although I can not think of just one moment, several things were not as they seemed.

Any additional comments?

I enjoyed both the authors and narrator so much I will continue catching up on the series.

What would have made Murder at the Cooking School better?

Better dialog, narrator, everything and anything. I will not be reading or listening to any more books by this author.

What was most disappointing about Dianne Harman’s story?

I really disliked how the Sheriff talked to his wife Kelly. He treated her like a child, not an equal. I listened to an earlier book in the series and was hoping for improvement over time, but I saw none.

How could the performance have been better?

I am unsure at this time, I would give the narrator another chance with a different author,

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

I love cozy mysteries, and I also know a lot of people love this author, I am just not one of them.

What did you love best about The Missing Heir?

I enjoyed learning about Mexico, and Amelia and Rick's adventure there. As with all this author's books, the scenery is well described. It's like taking a trip without leaving your house.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Yes. Amelia and Rick only have a short time to find a missing heir some where in Mexico. If he is not found in time an orphanage and medical clinics will be closed.

Which scene was your favorite?

I enjoyed the ending, and the surprises it brought. I don't want to give it away.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Hearing about Uncle Dell, and how much he loved the orphans and how giving he was for a rich man.

Any additional comments?

Missing Heir is a clean and sweet cozy mystery, that I found very enjoyable.
