Story
As a doctor, I walk a dangerously delicate balance of being compassionate but not overly invested. The same is true in my personal life - love is a luxury I can’t afford. It isn’t until Dr. Westin Grant breaks down all my walls and offers me a future, I find myself wondering if I’m brave enough to risk my heart. When who I was and who I’ve tried to become collide during my clinical trial, the fate of one patient changes everything.

Reviewed: 01-19-25
This is a good book & listen but the words God’s damned was said so many times it became irritating. I’m currently listening and since writing this I’ve heard God’s damned 5 times!! I almost stopped listening multiple times because of it.

Relayed in his own unsparing voice, Demon braves the modern perils of foster care, child labor, derelict schools, athletic success, addiction, disastrous loves, and crushing losses.

Story
My husband and I are fighting for our lives in hospital after a terrible car accident. But despite my pain, all I can think about is what our families will find behind our front door. The scarf that has been all over the news, belonging to a dead young woman with honey-coloured hair. I have to speak to the police before my husband can. I’m drifting in and out of consciousness, but when I hear my wife talking to the police, accusing me of the murder of an innocent woman, a cold fear grips me. I know I’ve got a temper.

Story
Everyone expected Violet Sorrengail to die during her first year at Basgiath War College-Violet included. But Threshing was only the first impossible test meant to weed out the weak-willed, the unworthy, and the unlucky. Now the real training begins, and Violet’s already wondering how she’ll get through. It’s not just that it’s grueling and maliciously brutal, or even that it’s designed to stretch the riders’ capacity for pain beyond endurance. It’s the new vice commandant, who’s made it his personal mission to teach Violet exactly how powerless she is–unless she betrays the man she loves.

Love the story
Reviewed: 12-27-23
I love this series. I can’t wait for the next book. The only thing I had a hard time with is when Violet is fighting or if there is action the narrator talks to fast it tended to make me anxious. I don’t want to miss a second of the story but was tempted to fast forward a handful of times. I still highly recommend this series. I hope with the next book we get the guys voice at the end for Xaden.

This series is so good. I feel they got better as they went on. The first book Feyra was a bit childish, always calling somebody a name and I’m really glad that they didn’t continue with Nesta. Despite that little annoyance, the series was excellent and you won’t regret listening.
