Story
The night that throws a wrecking ball into Abby’s life starts out perfectly at first. There’s still a hint of summer sun in the purple-streaked sky. Abby and her best friend, Sienna, look on fondly as their two husbands laugh under the garden gazebo. None of them know it’s the last time they will be together again. What starts out as just a little fun has devastating consequences for the couples. Alone with Sienna’s husband, Greg, Abby finds him unexpectedly charming. Caught up in the moment, she reveals a secret she swore never to tell.

It went on for far too long

The way it would never get to the point! I was at chapter 18 and still had no idea where the book was heading. Now I did have a hard time figuring out who did it since it had twist after twist after twist but gesshhh it took forever to even figure out what was actually going to happen. Also Abby was so annoying!

Five-year-old Ava Boone vanished without a trace six months ago. No witnesses, no sightings or arrests. Recently divorced, Grace uprooted her two small children to start again and hopes the move will reset her crippling insomnia. With whispered neighborhood gossip and increasingly sleepless nights, Grace develops a fierce obsession with Leland and the safety of her children. Could she really be living next door to a child-kidnapper? A murderer?

Couldn’t finish

Gesssshhh I couldn’t get over it. I read the reviews half way through to make sure it just wasn’t me, but it’s like a whole bunch of chapters of absolutely nothing. The three year old is such a brat and the mom does nothing about it! She’s always in a present or off deep in a manic state of over worrying but yet is scared to tell anyone to get help just overly annoying.

Story
It was supposed to be the perfect weekend away. Six very different women travel to a sun-soaked Greek island for a bachelorette trip, to celebrate Lexi’s upcoming wedding. From the glorious ocean views to the quaint tavernas and whitewashed streets, the vacation seems too good to be true. But dangerous undercurrents run beneath the sunset swims and midnight cocktails—because each of the women is hiding a secret. Someone is determined to make sure that Lexi’s marriage never happens—and that one of them doesn’t leave the island alive.

Nothing Thrilling
Reviewed: 09-12-23
There was no suspense and definitely no thrill. Every time you thought something was going to happen it was nothing. The characters made they’re “secrets” seem bigger than what they were. It was basically a book of women complaining about everything and fighting over the best friend title. I am on chapter 52 and have dragged myself through it.

Protagonist
Reviewed: 08-24-23
I could not get through the whole book I tried and tried, but just couldn’t. The protagonist was so annoying! The way she whined and mentioned her pregnancy every chance she took was too much. The way she “swooned” over everything her husband said or did was over the top.
