Story
Embracing the revival of psychedelic research and the discovery of new therapeutic uses, clinical psychologist Dr. Richard Louis Miller discusses what is happening today in psychedelic medicine - and what will happen in the future - with top researchers and thinkers in this field. Dr. Miller and his contributors cover the tumultuous history of early psychedelic research brought to a halt 50 years ago by the US government as well as offering non-technical summaries of the most recent studies with MDMA, psilocybin, LSD, and ayahuasca.

It's just spoken interviews.
Reviewed: 04-30-22
This book is a mind numbing slog through spoken interviews over and over with little in between. The narration does nothing to bring the interviews to life. Every 2 seconds the narrator states who the new person talking is, so its highly repetitive between two names saying a couple sentences each back and forth over and over and over. I couldn't finish the whole book, because the interview format in which its written makes the subject matter largly incomprehensible.

I thought this book provided a great balance of information and exercises to do outside of the book. The narration perfectly captured the patient and kind tone of the book.

Helpful in general, but explicit accounts of abuse
Reviewed: 07-12-20
I wish there had been warnings before the book went into first person accounts of rape and molestation. I would have glossed over them right now, because its too much to hear. Its upsetting to start hearing accounts of child molestation before you can get to Audible and fast forward, or to fast forward farther along in the account to some other explicit and overwhelming detail.
