Fascinating Murder Story Told in Vintage Radio Style

Bluebeard is a fascinating drama told in a style reminiscent of old time radio shows, complete with authentic sound effects. The acting is splendid and the dialogue kept me riveted, sometimes at the edge of my driver’s seat! Well done XG Productions!

Great tips - even for a 60-yr-old!

I enjoyed his book very much. There are great life tips for anyone wanting to incorporate good habits or eliminate bad ones. I thought the part about personality tests was very important. I took the “NEO” test in my 40s and found it enlightening and affirming. I think everyone should take this personality test- preferably in college as it helps to understand strengths and weaknesses, which is important to know while trying to build a happy and healthy life.

Story
Dale Maharidge’s father, like many World War II veterans, never talked about “the good war”. There was just one clue to his dad’s experience as a US Marine - a portrait with a close friend that hung permanently in their home. In The Dead Drink First, Dale, now a Pulitzer Prize-winning author, recounts his 18-year quest to find and repatriate the missing remains of his dad’s buddy, Herman Walter Mulligan, 73 years after he was killed in action.

I loved this story. The author's relentless quest to solve a childhood mystery and to make things right for a WWII vet and his family were honorable and impressive. I learned a great deal about the battle of Okinawa. Interviews with surviving vets and the culmination of the author's efforts brought me to tears.

Does nature really make us feel better? The 3-Day Effect takes a look at the science behind why being in the wild can make us happier, healthier, and more creative. Whether it’s rafting down Utah’s Green River, hiking in Utah’s wilderness, or walking through Rock Creek Park in Washington, DC, scientists are finding that the more exposure humans have to nature, the more we can benefit from reduced anxiety, enhanced creativity, and overall well-being.

Story
Decades before the American Revolution, Benjamin Franklin lamented that English settlers were constantly fleeing over to the Indians - but Indians almost never did the same. Tribal society has been exerting an almost gravitational pull on Westerners for hundreds of years, and the reason lies deep in our evolutionary past as a communal species. The most recent example of that attraction is combat veterans who come home to find themselves missing the incredibly intimate bonds of platoon life.

For David Goggins, childhood was a nightmare--poverty, prejudice, and physical abuse colored his days and haunted his nights. But through self-discipline, mental toughness, and hard work, Goggins transformed himself from a depressed, overweight young man with no future into a US Armed Forces icon and one of the world's top endurance athletes. The only man in history to complete elite training as a Navy SEAL, Army Ranger, and Air Force tactical air controller, he went on to set records in numerous endurance events.

I was captivated by David Goggins' story from start to finish. It is a testament to one man's hard luck beginnings and undying desire to change his destiny by pushing his body and mind to the limits. His story is inspiring, however his lifestyle evidently had an impact on his relationships. He was very transparent with other failures in his life. I think it would have been a more complete story if he shared more details about his decisions affected his close relationships.

Story
An utterly unsentimental journey toward the end of life, Mala is an irreverent exploration of how we live, cope, and survive in the moment. Grounded in Lopez’s distinctive emotional language and sharp humor, this powerful one-woman show dances between doctors and urgent 911 calls, a mother’s growing frailty, and a daughter’s quest for grace - all set during an epic Boston winter. Rather than depict a “right way”, the play opens the door for our universal struggle to support those we love in dying, especially when all we’ve ever focused on is surviving.
