Story
Popular radio host and podcaster, Justin Brierley, has been creating and facilitating constructive conversations about faith for more than two decades. He is an expert in Christian apologetics and has had a ringside seat as believers and nonbelievers alike have debated Christianity. Surprisingly, Justin has come out on the other side of these debates more convinced than ever of the truth of Jesus’ claims―and the power of good conversations. With this book, you get to watch Justin as he engages with the most unlikely of conversation partners on the subject of faith.

with a familiar British accent Justin brierley delivers a wonderful reading of his book. I find his arguments are a great overview and possibly a good introduction to arguments and the evidence in apologetics for christianity. I think his approach is absolutely commendable. his other two books were great and this is definitely wonderful as well.

Story
We hear and say short Christian clichés all the time, such as “Jesus was a social justice warrior”, “Just have faith”, and “It’s not my place to judge.” These trite statements often go unquestioned. Sometimes they even substitute for truth, leading to a fragile and shallow faith. But what if a close study of these clichés could lead us to deep biblical truth? In Unquestioned Answers, Dr. Jeff Myers rethinks 10 popular Christian clichés.

as a Christian who spent my whole life in church in who has come out of the non-denominational name it and claim it Faith movement into the reformed movement, I very much enjoyed this book. the author covers 10 but he calls answers that have been unquestioned, or otherwise 10 cliches that are assumed by many Christians without much research into their validity. I agree with all 10 points although some of his examples were a little bit too Lefty sounding to me. however I think he does a good job of being very neutral politically and easily relatable to a variety of christians. I'd like to see a few more Protestant examples given and not just catholic. but that's just me.

this excellent book brings to light the life and character of general Patton, one of the most famous generals or leaders of any men in all of human history. I personally had never heard quite a bit of the details of patents life and especially his death. quite entertaining educational and enlightening. for someone with a grandfather who served in Germany just after the war, this brings new life to a man from my grandfather's generation. highly recommend it.

a whole bunch of preferences not much evidence.
Reviewed: 12-18-24
the author of this book has a tremendous wit and is a excellent writer in general. however he seems to make more arguments from emotional appeal and conflation especially with slavery and racism and other isms of the day that are looked at his heinous evil Acts as they should be. however he uses reason that is sorely lacking in biblical understanding. it's not enough to have a Strong's concordance and look up a particular passage and pick out the word for homosexual in order to try to disprove it. what the author is failing to understand is that throughout all of judeaism and all of Christian history no one before 10 minutes ago seem to have any qualms with the notion and the fact that the Bible is explicitly against all sinful actions and that just because homosexual activity as well as other lgbtq sexual activity and deceptive living is prohibited by God through the bible. I think it's amusing that the author seems to only find words in the Bible in a very small portion of scripture references that have been mistranslated and thousands of Bible scholars if not tens of thousands have never caught these problems. it's quite odd in fact. it's really odd that there's nothing else wrong with those passages and that the translations are otherwise holy entirely and soundly interpreted from the original text. seems quite strange in fact. it's also strange that for the most part the arguments and evidence that he uses our completely subjective and emotional. there's hardly anything that he uses for evidence to support his arguments that's actually factual. he would be an excellent writer for science fiction or a romance novel or any other genre. but theology is certainly not his strong suit no matter what he feels and no matter what his church members prefer to act like. he definitely has it wrong concerning the condemnation of people who have sinful behavior being rejected and condemned by the church. so the biblical concept of sin and sinners and being forgiven and following Christ is that if you are a follower of Christ you are convicted of these sinful behaviors in actions and as you follow Christ you will struggle and strive not to sin even though we are imperfect and we will definitely send. but the idea is that you don't justify the sin by trying to reinterpret the entire text of the bible. so one thing that he actually misses entirely is jesus's affirmation of the entire Old Testament scripture. he also misses the fact that Jesus affirmed that in marriage it's one husband to one wife. as well as Paul says this in galatians. he's just glaringly looking at the argument and evidence as he prefers it not what is actually truthful.

It matters—but discussions on whether the New Testament is historically accurate can be tedious and overwhelming. We want to be confident that the reports in the New Testament are true and dependable, but scholarly discussions around the authenticity of the events recounted in Scripture can be challenging to navigate. Dr. Ben Shaw provides the clear introduction we've needed for understanding the New Testament's historical reliability.

Dr. Shaw does a great job presenting clear and concise arguments for the New Testament's reliability. I have met Dr. Shaw and have enjoyed his presentations at the Southern Evangelical Seminary's annual apologetics conference in North Carolina. He has a warmth and wit that's very affable. Sadly the narrator wasn't able to convey Dr. Shaw's personality and cadence and made me think that if Spock were to design a communications droid, like C3PO in Star Wars, that is what the results would sound like. Otherwise it's an enjoyable audio book and very easy to understand.

I became a Democrat when I ran for office because I saw them as a party that stood up for the little guy and against the interests of big business and warmongers. I remained a Democrat for twenty years, albeit with an independent streak." Today that party is unrecognizable.

Tulsi Gabbard has shown through her military and political careers that she is an extraordinary woman with extraordinary talents. from rising up in the ranks of the democratic party with a shooting star like quality, sadly she was more similar to a shooting star while in the Democratic party because the light did go out because of the friction that she had with the party. but that's actually a really great thing for conservatives and specially for republicans. Tulsi is coming into her best stride yet. as a conservative in Republican, even though she is new at it, she is more than just a rising star or a shooting star. she's a rockstar! this book shows her true commitment to constitutional government and especially to the freedoms guaranteed in the constitution. she is quite the Patriot and is the bonus she's quite beautiful and listening to her is not boring nor is there any room to not take her seriously. Tulsi is definitely someone I can see as a leader of our political atmosphere and I wish her all the best as the head of the national intelligence. she will be back for other political appointments in the future. her future is very bright.

The War on Warriors uncovers the deep roots of our dysfunction—a society that has forgotten the men who take risks, cut through red tape, and get their hands dirty. The only kind of men prepared to face the dangers that the Left pretends don’t exist. Unlike issues of education or taxes or crime, this problem doesn’t have a zip code solution. We can’t move away from it. We can’t avoid it. We have only one Pentagon. Either we take it back or surrender it altogether.
