About this listen

We hear and say short Christian clichés all the time, such as “Jesus was a social justice warrior”, “Just have faith”, and “It’s not my place to judge.” These trite statements often go unquestioned. Sometimes they even substitute for truth, leading to a fragile and shallow faith. But what if a close study of these clichés could lead us to deep biblical truth?

In Unquestioned Answers, Dr. Jeff Myers rethinks 10 popular Christian clichés. Through an in-depth and fresh look, Myers shares insights into these overused statements to strengthen listeners’ faith and encourage them to share Jesus with others. Walk with Myers on a path to biblical truth as he explores critical topics such as social justice, faith, sin, loving others, God’s goodness, prayer, and more.

as a Christian who spent my whole life in church in who has come out of the non-denominational name it and claim it Faith movement into the reformed movement, I very much enjoyed this book. the author covers 10 but he calls answers that have been unquestioned, or otherwise 10 cliches that are assumed by many Christians without much research into their validity. I agree with all 10 points although some of his examples were a little bit too Lefty sounding to me. however I think he does a good job of being very neutral politically and easily relatable to a variety of christians. I'd like to see a few more Protestant examples given and not just catholic. but that's just me.

this book will help with presumptions

This story inspired me to look deep into my own walk with God, inspiring me to be more mindful where I need to be, yet mostly grateful to Jesus. I will most definitely share!
