Story
Widower Luke Driskell didn’t expect to fall in love and marry again so quickly. But Ashley and her daughter, Joy, are special—a quality borne out when Ashley rushes into a burning day-care center to save the children. Immediately she’s a social media sensation and hero. Then, just as suddenly, Ashley and Joy disappear into the bitterly cold night. With no trace of their whereabouts, Luke begins a panicked investigation. Alarmingly, he can find no proof that the woman he loves even exists. Left behind: just a hidden stash of fake IDs. Different names. Different cities. Same haunted face.

Story
I could tell when my son started hiding things from me. He used to walk to school with a mischievous grin on his beautiful face. Now he avoids eye contact and keeps his head down. Since I discovered he’s being bullied by a classmate, I’ve spent every day worrying, my stomach churning with anxiety from the moment he leaves the house to the second he walks back through the door. Everyone keeps telling me I’m overreacting, but I won’t risk my child’s safety. My husband and I try to talk to the other boy’s parents, but it only makes things worse. Then our precious child is hurt. Enough is enough.

Really enjoy creepy books, read all Timberbrooks novels...and they will hold you attention. This one was ab it gross, but unstoppable and gripping, again very well done...Actually, there is a disease of WereWolf,..In the Book of Daniel, Nebuchadnezzar was stricened with Turning into Werewolf, so anything's possible ? Now the only thing I found annoying was the cussing not a fan of swearing, there are well know author that never use cuss words...Anyway Timberbrooks writes great read, which are page turners. Thanks for the non-stop action surprises...Especially enjoyed The Ruins...it was a Audible listening, I will never forget, the ending of advanced age..from lost past into over done future.
