This was a great story. I loved the interaction between Eliana and Commander Dagon. The story was not centered round sex but around the relationship between the two. This book was not a filler but a pivotal book within this series. I cannot wait to find out what will happen within this series and I need to know where the other Gifted Ones are.

Story
When her brother goes missing, Ruth Hallbrook follows the only lead that she has - a "magical" shell that will supposedly guide her, all she has to do is repeat the words she hears when she puts it to her ear. That would have been fine if she could have understood what it was saying! One wrong word lands her in a kingdom filled with giants, including one very large, irritating one who thinks she belongs in his gilded cage!

I love everything that S.E. Smith writes and this was no exception. I enjoyed the fact that Ruth was so sure of herself and I loved the fact that Ruth and Koorgan love was built over time. It was not instant love and they had a whole foundation. I loved the fact that we got to see some of the past characters were great and I cannot to continue this series.

I love just love Eve Langlais. She is such a great writer she draws you in. I was so happen with I realized that Lucifer was going to continue his matchmaking skills in this series. I loved seeing him and I loved the times when he just popped up just to be seen. The fact that Eve describes every outfit about him to a tee is just glorious.
I loved Brody and I loved Poise. The two of them had this tension that would not let. I also loved the fact that Poise does not care about seeming all of the paranormal beings. She was not impressed from the being and she continued not to care. Not even an angel was going to make her care.
Troy did a great job narrating and had me from the first first word.
I cannot wait to see more of her within the series and I cannot wait to see what outfit Lucifer has next.

This is the first time that I have every listened to a book by Kristen Painter. This story is available under Audile's new Plus Catalog, which to be hopnest is annoying as hell.
I have to admit that the first chapter I did not know if I was going to enjoy this but I did. It was fun and cute and had a lot of intrigue. The villain was not someone that I expected. I loved the fact that her sidekick is a cat, I have a couple so that makes me happy.
I am excited to continue this series and see what else Jayne gets into. I also am excited to see who Jayne ends up with her ex or a new flame.

Thank you for joining us at Gertrude Hunt, the nicest bed-and-breakfast in Red Deer, Texas, during the Treaty Stay. As you know, we are honor-bound to accept all guests during this oldest of innkeeper holidays, and we are expecting a dangerous guest. Or several. But have no fear. Your safety and comfort is our first priority. The inn and your hosts - Dina Demille and Sean Evans - will defend you at all costs. But we hope we don’t have to.

This story takes place right after the drama of the genocide obsessed aliens. In order to save Gertrude Hunt she had to bond with a seedling inn. Over the course of the series we learn that inns bond with their innkeepers and the fact that Dina had to do that with another inn made it so that she is unable to fully connect with Gertrude Hunt. While having to deal with that she also has to deal with the innkeeper assembly maybe reprimanding her and making it for her inn to not survive.
This has a lot going on but also had some funny moments. As more stories happen in this series the more and more I am attached to this series. I am so involved and I want to know what is happening with Dina's parents and where her brother is. I hope that this goes on for at least 10 books.
SN: The narrator is not the best but not the worst, I have seen so many people that cannot get through this because the narrator is just not the best however Id have listen to some books that are just unbearable. Just give the narrator a chance, It is only 4 hours long.

What a great first book.
Reviewed: 02-22-21
This is the second time that I listened/read this story. I have listened to a lot of Ilona Andrews and I have to admit this is my favorite series from them. There are a lot of series out there that are overshadowed by other 'bigger' series from an author. This series falls into that category, it is not as popular or as known as their Kate Daniels series.. This series has drama, humor, love, family, magic, etc and it has so much more.
When we are introduced to Dina she is just trying to make sure her inn is thriving and will do just about anything to make it happen. She takes her oath as an innkeeper seriously and she will do anything to make sure that her guest and the secret that there are other beings out in the universe. We are introduced to so many characters that you fall in love with within the series. Arland, Sean, Her Grace, and others.
Dina as an innkeeper is supposed to be neutral. She is not supposed to get involve with anything or anyone that is not a gust at her inn. When she realizes that there are other beings killings dogs within her neighborhood and the local werewolf is not making taking care of the killings she takes it upon herself to save her neighborhood. However, she does not realize that it is not as easy as she thought.
I loved this book and I am so glad that I relistened to this.

Dina DeMille isn't your typical bed and breakfast owner. Her inn defies laws of physics, her dog is secretly a monster, and the only permanent guest of the inn is a former galactic tyrant with a price on her head. The inn needs guests to thrive and guests have been scarce, so when an arbitrator shows up at Dina's door and asks her to host a peace summit between three warring species, she jumps on the chance.

Drama galore!
Reviewed: 02-22-21
All Dina wants is for Gertrude Hunt to thrive. She understands that she needs guest for her inn but with a rating of 2.5 out of 5 it seems like it is completely impossible, until an arbitrator comes and give her a deal that she must take. We are also introduced to Arlo. He has become one of my favorite characters of the series.
This story had so much action and also so much drama. We finally get to see Officer Morace start to be aware of what really is happening at Gertrude Hunt. The entire story was more than entertainment but of a tell of what happens when war takes over and hate and ravage is the only thing that matters.
Sean also comes back but more as bright eyed and shinny as he as in Clean Sweep. He plays a pivot role within this book and within this series.

Dina DeMille may run the nicest Bed and Breakfast in Red Deer, Texas, but she caters to a very particular kind of guest...the kind that no one on Earth is supposed to know about. Guests like a former intergalactic tyrant with an impressive bounty on her head, the Lord Marshal of a powerful vampire clan, and a displaced-and-superhot werewolf; so don't stand too close, or you may be collateral damage.

Dina is a G!
Reviewed: 02-22-21
This introduces us to the allusive, Maud, Dina's sister. Up until this point we really know just the bear minimum of who Maud is and where she was. We are also introduces the Helen, Maud's daughter. The introduction of these two characters elevates this series.
While Dina is dealing with her sister and what happened to her she is also trying to help out a race that is being killed one by one. The fact that Dina has such a high code of honor makes this series great. She does not do anything that is in contrast with making sure that everyone person in her inn is happy and if that means she has to go up against a race that is committing genocide because they don't like a race she will.
This was such a great entry to this series and I hope that people realize that this is great.

The synopsis for this story drew me in. It fit into my paranormal realm that I love.
When I first started this story I did not know what to expect. The narrator made it very hard for me to get into it. She made Ollie sound very annoying and whiney. I did not know if that was how she was supposed to portray her but that is how she ended up. Even the other characters sounded annoying.
As I got pass the narration I appreciated the little nuances she brought to the characters. If Ollie was supposed to yawn she did and made me know that she was truly tired without stating so.
When I got into it I loved the characters and the story. Ollie has been through so much and all she wanted was answers. Ollie did not get all of the answers she was looking for. However, she gained a mismatched family.
The entire story explored the world she is involved in. I wished that we got to see more of the world. There was so much going on that I felt a bit cheated that it was just glossed over. For instance, we know that Kane is an Anchor but what does that really mean? Also I would love to know who Butch and Kane were referencing.
I am committed to this series and I really hope that it does not disappoint.

Getting accepted at the best strip club was her dream. Little did she know that the audition itself is fully loaded with very hard tasks. Sally was only doing the stripping scene to get noticed. She wanted to be a model. She was excited about the meeting that she was going to have with her boss. Little does she know, she has to pass initiation in order to get the higher clubs where she wanted to be. She didn’t know how much she would need to take to get accepted, but she was willing to do whatever it took to be noticed.

So this is the second book that I read from Brittany Strokes. The first one I could not get into, The Aunt's: Fertile Futas on Female. This story however was better because of the plot and the characters. This is quintessential erotica. There was a plot for 2.1 seconds and after that it was straight erotica. It is a very vivid read and this is not for the faint of heart.
