This is a good story set in hand interesting historical time. The love scenes are steamy. But why?!? why?! The melodramatic music. Ridiculous and distracting.

Reviewed: 04-05-22
If you listened to the first book in this series, don't waste your time with this one. It's the exact same formula! The structure, characters, even dialogue is so similar to "The Deep, Deep Snow" that you forget you're listening to a different story. The first book isn't that great, certainly no need to replicate it!

Would you be willing to try another one of Emily Durante’s performances?

What happened to Narrator, David Chandler?!?!
Reviewed: 01-13-15
Would you listen to Thunder Bay again? Why?
This is another great installment in the Cork Connor series.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Is it because we all are accustomed to the fabulous voice of David Chandler? Maybe. But the dramatization of the characters is not done well - especially the women.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
The mysteries are pretty addictive!
