Story
Adair Radcliffe is only a child when her family perishes in the War of the Roses, so her real father, the womanizing King Edward IV, takes her in, honoring his promise to her mother. Once Adair turns 16, the king marries her off without her knowledge - and to her later outrage - in a wedding by proxy. But when tragedy leaves her a widow twice over, Adair realizes that her already tenuous social position has sunk even lower. Now, all she can do is hope that the Scottish laird to whom she is sold will have mercy on her. But little does master or servant suspect that love knows no rank.

Long but good story

I love that the back ground was so well thought out. We really got a excellent idea of the main character. It’s so much information but all of it useful and historically accurate for the main rulers. It was so a good love story!

Story
Judith Hampton was as beautiful as she was proud and loyal. Her dear Scottish friend from childhood was about to give birth, and Judith had promised to be at her side. But there was another reason for the journey from her bleak English home to the Highlands: to meet the father she had never known, the Laird Maclean. Nothing prepared her, however, for the sight of the Scottish barbarian who was to escort her into his land...Iain Maitland, laird of his clan, a man more powerfully compelling than any she had ever encountered.

Awful narrative

I couldn’t even listen to the book to tell you if it was bad or good. The narration was so bad I couldn’t make it past 5 minutes.

Susan is an awful narrator
Reviewed: 08-03-22
The first book was great, a little predictable and the narrator was amazing! I love Roselyn! But the second book was so awful and bad narrative that I had to return the book.
