I’m really torn on this one
Reviewed: 09-15-20
I listened to the reviews of some of the other people who said stick with the book it gets better. Well you got to stick with the book for quite some time. Like awhile. In the beginning the author used the word choke so many times I was going to turn it off. But about 5 hours in. A long 5 hours of a horrible story of torture it started getting really good. Do I wish I had taken the advice of the person that said stick with it? Not really. But I guess it’s worth it after the five hours so you decide.

This story and the narrator pull you in from the minute you start listening! The story is written so well and the detail to every scene was so well written. The narrator was so good that as you listen you think there are several narrators. I purchased this book on a whim. I normally don’t do that. But I am so glad that I did! This is a great listen!!!

Story
What do you do when you discover information that is before its time? What do you do when your curiosity takes you on an adventure that is so bizarre that there is nothing normal to relate to? This is what happened to Dolores Cannon in 1968, long before she began her career as a past-life hypnotherapist and regressionist. Travel back with us to that time when the words reincarnation, past-lives, regression, walk-ins, New Age were unknown to the general population.

I was hesitant to purchase this book. I’ve been listening to Alba Weinman on youtube for quite some time and have heard hundreds of past life regressions. I like how Dolores Cannon shows ya how she began and how the story just flows. At fist wasn’t crazy w the narrator but she grew on me as the book went on.

You develop an understanding of history that you wouldn’t ordinarily have. Great listen. Winter of the world is the next book in the series and I liked it better. Definitely listen to that one!

I listen to A LOT of audiobooks and rarely do I give 5 stars all round! This writer is brilliant! I was really impressed at how he managed to connect all of the characters. Each of the story lines was interesting! Only complaint I have is that at times I became confused at who certain characters were and had to re listen to certain parts. But I’ve learned a lot about history while being thoroughly entertained! Definite must listen if you are a fan of historical fiction!
