Kinda pretty woman with a twist

First off I love Robyn Carr and this book did not disappoint. Her and Plummer and an amazing pair.
I want give it 4.5 stars as I loved the book! The only reason I took anything away is that the main character and I just couldn’t fully mesh. Maybe if she would admit her previous profession was not okay in the moral book, then I would have. But it’s played off as an okay progression. Sorry she was an upper class hooker whether it’s stated that way.
I love Alex and the whole town. Carrs towns are always a place I want to live.
A flipped pretty woman story In my eyes lol.
Read it, you will love it.

It was a great read. I loved the storyline and ever the "girl drama" especially as I can relate to Noel and wanting to punch Amber in the face. Do not read if you if sex scenes bother you, or if language bothers you. The author captured each character and I will be rereading it next Christmas season! Thanks for the great book.

I actually loved the story and the performance. I am glad I read it and enjoyed it. However, the author needs to read up on some different words instead of such vulgar ones. Takes away from the book. Other than that it was a great free read.

Good Story, terrible narrator
Reviewed: 05-04-21
I read these books many years ago when I was younger. I loved the books and the story. Decided to listen to the audiobooks. The narrator is terrible. She never changes her tone. Every character has the same tone so it leaves you to assume who is speaking. The story is well written, and interesting.

Slow starting, but decent
Reviewed: 04-08-21
I am an big fan of the series, so I wanted to read these books as they more closely follow the tv series rather than LJ Smith's original books. The story line is much like the show; but the story is kind of boring at the beginning. Slow to get started and even the exciting parts are not detailed enough for a book. Once I turned the narration speed to 1.75x the narration was much better. I have continued on to the next book as it was good enough, but I would not deem it as a great book as it doesn't have enough quality writing to be great.
