About this listen
First, Edward was a vampire.
Second, there was a part of him, and I didn't know how dominant that part might be, that thirsted for my blood.
And Third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.
Isabella Swan's move to Forks, a small, perpetually rainy town in Washington, could have been the most boring move she ever made. But once she meets the mysterious and alluring Edward Cullen, Isabella's life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn. Up until now, Edward has managed to keep his vampire identity a secret in the small community he lives in, but now nobody is safe, especially Isabella, the person Edward holds most dear. The lovers find themselves balanced precariously on the point of a knife, between desire and danger.
Deeply sensuous and extraordinarily suspenseful, Twilight captures the struggle between defying our instincts and satisfying our desires. This is a love story with bite.

Story
In June 2021, the whole world was listening as Britney Spears spoke in open court. The impact of sharing her voice—her truth—was undeniable, and it changed the course of her life and the lives of countless others. The Woman in Me reveals for the first time her incredible journey—and the strength at the core of one of the greatest performers in pop music history. Written with remarkable candor and humor, Spears’s groundbreaking book illuminates the enduring power of music and love—and the importance of a woman telling her own story, on her own terms, at last.

Story
Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general—also known as her tough-as-talons mother—has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders. But when you’re smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away...because dragons don’t bond to “fragile” humans. They incinerate them. With fewer dragons willing to bond than cadets, most would kill Violet to better their own chances of success.

Surviving a werewolf attack should’ve been the strangest thing to happen to me tonight. But no, the universe had other plans. Now, I’m stuck dealing with a broodingly hot guy named Wesley St. John—who seems way too comfortable with murder. Definitely a red flag, right? Wes isn’t just some guy I stumbled upon—he’s a protector, but not the friendly kind. His job is to keep the supernatural world in check, and my ignorance is making things complicated.

Story
The modern audience hasn't had a chance to truly appreciate the unknowing dread that readers would have felt when reading Bram Stoker's original 1897 manuscript. Most modern productions employ campiness or sound effects to try to bring back that gothic tension, but we've tried something different. By returning to Stoker's original storytelling structure - a series of letters and journal entries voiced by Jonathan Harker, Dr. Van Helsing, and other characters - with an all-star cast of narrators, we've sought to recapture its originally intended horror and power.

Wonderful!
I am not a young adult...over 45 I am LOL and stumbled on this series completely by accident. Saw the reviews and decided to give it a chance! I was NOT let down. All 3 books in the series are excellent! I've been through the series twice already. I will admit there was some droning on in parts, however, I enjoyed the story so much I ignored it. A well written series. Can't wait for the next in the series!!!!

I LOVE it!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was origanally not into the Twilight thing because it was a vampire and love story. Both of which I was not into at ALL! I was finally convinced by a good friend to read...or listen rather to the story. I feel in love. Reading it was one thing but hearing the story helped me visualize what the author was writing... what she was seeing. I am completely in love with the story because it is like no other vampire and/or love story out there and that is what makes it GREAT! THe story flow so well that I do not want to turn it off. I listened to it EVERYWHERE! It is just a great story and the writer is very imaginitive when it comes to taking a myth and making it completely her own. AMAZING story!

Worth the listen even if you've read the book!
I finished all reading in the series and was left wanting more! Just out of curiosity I listened to the sample reading - then decided to purchase the audio book. It's amazing, there's more to get from the book from just listening, even if you've poured over the book! Just close your eyes, put on your headphones, lay back and let your imagination do the work as you listen! It's definately worth it! I'm on my second listen and still not bored!

Riveted.
I had no idea I would become so riveted by a "Young Adult" novel. It only took about 10 minutes of listening before I was a goner. This book, and it's sequels, are jam packed with emotional exploration and passionate (but restrained) love. The pace of the story will keep you listening way past your bedtime!

Very good :D
I read this not to long ago. I thought it was good, but i don't really like vampires much. I like werewolves though. I kinda thought that Bella was extremely predictable and stupid, but thats what makes it so good :D
i'd recommend you don't read this book at night if you are younger, just because you might get nightmares ;)
this is NOT a book for GUYS! guys will think its boring. which it kind of is... for guys that is..

The Theme
I have been thinking on this whole Twilight thing for a bit and I do believe what calls out to all of us of all ages is the "True Love" in the story. It's what we all long for. Now with that said, I did enjoy these books, I would let my daughter read them (when she's older than her ripe 7 years) and they were fun. It's not great literature or a classic but it's worth the read and the characters are so rich that you do tend to fall in love with them. Is it over the top, yes, but it's fiction and we are talking teenagers; what isn't over the top for teenagers? LOL!! If you are looking for a fun escape, dive in you won't be dissappointed Meyer is vivid in her descriptions and unyeilding with the depths she writes her characters.

AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
While I was a little hesitant because of the previous reviews that I had read, I read the book myself and absolutely loved it, so I figured what the hey!! While the narrator's voice is flat at times, it is well worth listening to....time and time again!!!!

More Story
Would you listen to Twilight again? Why?
I am one of the people that saw the movie first and now have decided to finally read/listen to the Twilight Series. I would listen to this book again because of all the details I was able to hear in the story as opposed to the movie.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Twilight?
My favorite moments were listening to all the Colins past stories of where they came from and how they turned into a vampire. You don't get that at all in the movie.
What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?
? This was my first audible book to listen to, so I have nothing to compare to.
