More for teenagers
Reviewed: 01-20-24
So I do my best to listen to a whole series but this one was hard. Unless this was intentional for teenagers the story line was pretty predictable and completely unrealistic. It does not appear the author did any research into the military whatsoever and the pitfalls of the main characters was ridiculous. They constantly get snuck up on, constantly drop their weapons, and these so-called former soldiers act like war is a game of patty-cake where you don’t want to hurt the enemy’s feels. Sergeants put I charge of officers really?
Sorry Grace but any former military, which I would imagine is a big part of this audience probably didn’t get past the first book. No one purposely shoots to wound or to the leg intentionally. Did you not hear about everyone making fun of Biden for that comment?
Maybe I missed the rated G rating for kids 11 and under for this book.

Painful to keep listening
Reviewed: 12-23-23
Ok I’m usual a fan of this author but this was painful.
Drinks and drug addict get the fro on them every time. They leave a town with a truck and perusers come from behind surprising them when they just they just said they could see for miles. Dude is in the bed of the truck with an AR as their persuaders ram them from behind several times and he runs out of ammo not hitting them but they shoot up their truck. They get arrested for murder and never mention he’s a decorated firefighter. You can’t go a minute without the next completely far fetched story line coming up.
I wouldn’t waist your time with this one.
Question to the author. Do you guys ever ask military experts to proofread this stuff.

Again-need for military advisors
Reviewed: 10-31-22
1. This wasn’t bad but a lot of mistakes that would have been cleared up by a military advisor.
2. So anyone with any time in the woods will tell you it’s rather hard to sneak up on someone in the woods. Over and over again it happens in these books. Not too realistic.
3. Storyline was rather predictable.
