Publisher's summary

The final battle for survival has begun....

Reunited with his wife and daughter, Bear knows his family will never be truly safe until the Militia has been eliminated. Determined to end the threat once and for all, they agree to help the Freemen with one final push against this dangerous enemy.

Meanwhile, Laurel struggles to combat a new sickness sweeping through the Freemen ranks before they lose anyone else. Seeking vital medical supplies, they travel to Laurel’s former sanctuary, South Minneha Hospital. But a lot has changed since they left to go find Mae. The hospital is in ruins and the remaining residents are struggling to survive in the wreckage.

The Militia have one final trick up their sleeves—weapons of war that survived the EMP—and General James Bruce plans to rain fire upon his enemies. Bear, Laurel, and the others have no choice. They must fight to survive.

But against such overwhelming firepower, is all hope lost?

EMP Survivor

Lawless World: EMP Aftermath, Book 6
By: Grace Hamilton
Narrated by: Andrew Tell
Series: EMP Aftermath , Book 6

4 STARS

This was a good EMP listen, but I will need to go back and start at the beginning to understand all the characters. These will be read when I find a little extra time.

Book 6 in the series EMP Aftermath. For some reason I hadn’t discovered this series until now.

The narration was well done, by Andrew Tell. His voice was quite enjoyable for the male characters, the female voices were so-so.

Excellent Dystopian Series

Lawless World is the sixth and final audiobook in the EMP Aftermath Series which finds Bear, his family, and the Freemen taking a final stand against the militia. This audiobook has plot twists, suspense, intrigue, danger, strong emotions, and great characters. I highly recommend this audiobook series written by Grace Hamilton.

Nothing is better

First of all the voice! Perfection in my ears secondly I’m so sad to reach the end of the series. I enjoyed the journey with the Peterson family so much this was a great ride and an awesome story that captivated me for the whole series.

Basis for what could have been a great story, but

I love stories that take place during or after a nuclear war, this story could have been 10 times longer. The characters lack all common sense to the point of stupidity, this becomes aggravating during the story. If there are neighborhoods in this country that are made up of people that lack all awareness and common sense then our country is worse off than I have thought. Are there honestly large groups of homeowners in large neighborhoods where maybe one person owns a gun and all the people believe that our government is going come to their rescue in a nation wide disaster.

Anyway, with more thought, details, and character development this could have been an awesome book.

It was a good listen

A lot of lessons to be learned from this read if SH_T was actually to hit the fan. Trust your gut shoot to kill and collect all weapons and ammunition.

Great read!

I almost always enjoy books by this author and this book was no exception. If you enjoy post-apocalyptic fiction, don't hesitate to try this author.

It was good to catch up with Bear and his family in this installment of the story. There is a lot of action, but also characters I want to invest in.

The narrator Andrew Tell is always a good choice. He has a pleasant voice and does a good job with the various characters.

More for teenagers

So I do my best to listen to a whole series but this one was hard. Unless this was intentional for teenagers the story line was pretty predictable and completely unrealistic. It does not appear the author did any research into the military whatsoever and the pitfalls of the main characters was ridiculous. They constantly get snuck up on, constantly drop their weapons, and these so-called former soldiers act like war is a game of patty-cake where you don’t want to hurt the enemy’s feels. Sergeants put I charge of officers really?
Sorry Grace but any former military, which I would imagine is a big part of this audience probably didn’t get past the first book. No one purposely shoots to wound or to the leg intentionally. Did you not hear about everyone making fun of Biden for that comment?
Maybe I missed the rated G rating for kids 11 and under for this book.
