Too good to put down
Reviewed: 07-09-18
I must say this book is too good to put down. I had insomnia before I got pregnant due to my stress at work and problems. my marriage. After pregnancy I could barely sleep. The calming voice of this book put me at ease during many sleepless nights. Now my sleep cannot be better. Tip - try listening to the the body scan section of the book while going for a walk in the quiet park or the in forrest. All problems in life solved, at once.

What made the experience of listening to The Dance of Connection the most enjoyable?
The book is practical and insightful, with a lot of excellent examples.
What other book might you compare The Dance of Connection to and why?
The dance of anger
Which character – as performed by Harriet Lerner – was your favorite?
All of them. As she mentioned, do not skip any examples. Even you don't have kids, don't skip the example of mother and her child. The same communication principle will help you in other circumstances.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Let other people worry about their things.
Any additional comments?
I found this book after reading the dance of anger. I was having a lot of relationship issues - with my husband, my in-laws, and my co-workers. This book has provided quite a few excellent examples. I listened to it again and again and have started to apply the same principles in different cases. I have found that letting people deal with their own issues instead of trying to solving the problems for them makes me so much happier and less stressed about my own life.

Story
Is having 'somebody to love' the most important thing in your life? Do you constantly believe that with 'the right man' you would no longer feel depressed or lonely? Are you bored with 'nice guys' who are open, honest, and dependable? If being in love means being in pain, this book was written for you. Therapist Robin Norwood describes loving too much as a pattern of thoughts and behavior, which certain women develop as a response to problems from childhood.

What did you love best about Women Who Love Too Much?
It helps me examine why I've been attracting the wrong guys and why I keep breaking up with them. This is was like a surgeon doctor that went deep inside my psychological mind, took me back to my childhood, and told me why.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Women Who Love Too Much?
It describes women who are self-sacrificing too much, only to get a broken heart in return.
Have you listened to any of Ellen Archer’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No. I like her voice.
What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?
Be selfish by loving yourself first, then be selfless through helping others.

What did you like best about GRE Vocabulary AudioLearn: AudioLearn Test Prep Series? What did you like least?
Great voice. Example sentences
Who was your favorite character and why?
This isn't a novel. No characters, just the narrator.
Did the narration match the pace of the story?
yes. the narrator has a pleasant voice.
Did GRE Vocabulary AudioLearn: AudioLearn Test Prep Series inspire you to do anything?
Not really.
Any additional comments?
It will really help if this audio book comes with a PDF of words because some words are spelt incorrectly and some definitions aren't correct due to rough editing.
e.g. extemporize was defined incorrectly, the book reads - 'to speak with preparation' whereas the true correct definition is 'to speak without preparation'.
There are more misspelt words, but I won't list them all.

This is not an unabriged book
Reviewed: 03-24-11
The book has good ideas. But please be aware that this is definitely not an unabridged book. It's about the same length as the abridged version. It's no where near 4 hours long.
