Story
What is a woman? For months, Matt Walsh devoted nearly every waking hour to answering this simple question. Honestly, it’s a question he never thought he’d have to ask. But all of a sudden, way too many people don’t seem to know the answer. Is a woman a woman just by feeling or acting a particular way? Aren’t gender roles just a "social construct"? Can a woman be “trapped in a man’s body”? Does being a woman mean anything at all? Join Matt on his often comical yet deeply disturbing journey as he answers the question generations before us never knew they needed to ask: What is a woman?

Lives depend on Americans knowing and defending the truth and guarding our children with great vigilance. I am so grateful I came across this book and that it was read by the author! He is fantastic!

Story
The generation born into evangelical purity culture has grown up, and many have started families of their own. But as time goes on, it's becoming more evident that many still struggle with purity culture's complicated legacy - its idolization of virginity, its mixed messages about modesty and lust, and its promise of a healthy marriage and great sex for those who follow the rules. In Talking Back to Purity Culture, Rachel Joy Welcher reviews the movement carefully, examining its teachings through the lens of Scripture.

I want to love it but the narrator...eee
Reviewed: 05-22-21
I really really want to love it but the narrator in chapter three sounded like a computer. It was so crazy distracting for me to listen to her monotoned delivery I had a really hard time grasping what was even said. Sally and her daughters need to narrate this, it would make it SOOOOO much better.

words can't describe but I'll try
Reviewed: 01-22-21
I just started chapter thirteen and I can't wait to finish before writing this review! Kristina Kuzmic is one of the best mothers/women/comedians/humans alive! If your on the edge GET THIS BOOK NOW... Kristina in this book says not to judge but I'm judging you!!! why are you on the edge? she is amazing, honest, funny, and deep...like real people are but most just use cover-up and fake smiles.. again I'm judging. some women do just try to hold it together and others just bleed all over everyone with their trauma...I know I've been both. we do our best that's all we can. Kristina is neither.. she isn't bleeding all over me, blood gushing from her trauma but she also isn't a photoshopped magazine cover from some fancy parenting magazine...or maybe she is somewhere I don't know.. the point she is awesome and you should read her book just because she wrote it...also it's honest, hilarious, encouraging, has lots of little gems of wisdom you can apply... thank you for the birthday candle thing.. WE do that now! And I genuinely can't wait till I'm alone and in the quiet and dark cause it's usually after bedtime.....to...listen to THIS audiobook, to listen to THIS author read her words with such perfection. I know you don't believe in perfection Kristina but this book and the way you read it is as close as humans can get to perfect. THANK YOU for writing this but even more so Thank you Thank you Thank you for reading this aloud! You mean more to me than you know! finding this lady on youtube 6yrs ago has helped me through some really really dark days. Thank you for being you and sharing your self, your wonderful, beautiful, funny self with the world.

I really really enjoyed the content of this audiobook and it was narrated well enough I could listen but he was somewhat monotone for most of it. The book was great but I wish the narrator was the author, although I generally wish that of any book that's not a classic (as in the author is alive.)

Story
Told from four-year-old Laura's point of view, this story begins in 1871 in a little log cabin on the edge of the Big Woods of Wisconsin. Laura lives in the little house with her pa, her ma, her sisters Mary and Carrie, and their trusty dog, Jack. Pioneer life is sometimes hard for the family, since they must grow or catch all their own food as they get ready for the cold winter. But it is also exciting as Laura and her family celebrate Christmas with homemade toys and treats, do the spring planting, bring in the harvest, and make their first trip into town.
