Discover the gift of friendship!

In a time when many women feel lonely and isolated, Girls' Club calls us to embrace the delight and comfort that can be found in life-giving friendships with women - and to cultivate relationships that not only offer emotional affirmation and acceptance, but also inspire, educate, and stretch us to live out our God-given potential.

Told through stories and encouragement based on the authors' experiences - Sally, a seasoned mother and well-beloved author; her daughter Sarah, an Oxford scholar and new mother; and her youngest daughter, Joy, a professional young woman pursuing her doctorate - Girls' Club will speak to the importance of cultivating deep and lasting friendship at every stage in life.

Beautiful book

I've never had many friends or truly valued life in general. Becoming a Christian through the grace of Jesus Christ has opened my eyes and heart to how dull I've been. I'm nearly 31 and have so much regret for the apathetic way I have lived. I'm beginning to reevaluarte relationships and how to lovingly initiate and maintain them. I've had an extremely distant and uncomfortable relationship with my own mom my entire life. it's enchanting to imagine the hope that through initiation and love that I could potentially have a revived relationship with her. This book is encouraging and leaves me hopeful for any good I can give the world and hopeful that God will provide friendships along the way as I finally bloom into womanhood. I've always thought of myself as a little girl who could never just "be a woman" like most women seem to be. But I see it's a practice, a discipline, a string of small choices made throught the day. Please pray for me and my journey to grow and mature in the love of Jesus Christ.
In response to reading some reviews:
Yes, the Clarkson's life may seem a little fairytale to some people and not "relevant" to the struggle of the masses. But, fundamentally, they write with humility, grace, and admittance of their own personal struggles amidst the traveling, conferencing, and delighting. Although I couldn't expect to live this kind of life, I deeply grasped the principle of the messages beautiful woven with scriptures and intimate experiences. Clarkson family, I am so grateful for your life and everything you have experienced and shared. Please, keep the Girl Club and tea time rolling. Your lives are the fruit of great love deeply rooted in the reality of Jesus Christ and the call to something bigger than yourselves. I've never had hope until I encountered the love of Jesus Christ and it's encouraging to see His example through your lives and writing.

Loved this book on Cultivating Friendships!!!

This book is full of so many helpful points of how to be a friend. Woven throughout are stories of how they processed friendship in their lives. They had times of success and failure but never gave up on wanting to have deeper and more full lives and community. I love what one said about if you want to change the world, start right where you are, start with your neighbors.

Great stories & encouragement to value friendship!

Buck encouraged me to value friendships with women in an age of increasing isolation and loneliness. I reminded me that a few close friendships are better than a thousand shallow ones, and gave great stories and insight into cultivating and deepening lasting friendships.

Thank you!

This was an excellent book, and I will probably be coming back to it again and again. It has really helped me in deciding what kind of friend I want to be, and shown me how God fits in, I didn’t even think about that before. The narrators were wonderful as well. Thank you!

A High Call to Friendship

Sally and her daughters share so much richness, depth, and practical encouragement to action in this book. It opened my thinking about what is possible in the realm of friendship and ministry, and inspired to take action in so many ways I’m going to have to write them all down! Definitely worth a read.

My cup is filled.

I have read The Lifegiving Home, The Lifegiving Table, Awakening Wonder and now Girls’ Club. Right now I’m in the throws of life with a small toddler and even smaller baby. Life can be overwhelming and survival instincts can kick in. My saving grace has been audible where I can still listen to my favorite authors and mentors. Sally, Sarah and Joy have done a marvelous job with this beautifully written book about connection, community, discipleship and sisterhood. We need each other and they gave their own personal experiences as well as tangible ways to create community in our own lives with the women that, albeit we may not even notice, surround us. I yearn to be the place people come to in need of recharge and a listening ear. I also yearn for those kindred spirits in my own life. Their application is incredible because they’ve experienced numerous moves and yet still found ways to create community and tradition. What a blessing this book is - and every book I’ve read by a Clarkson so far. They inspire me to grow in my relationship with the Lord and continue learning all the beauty He’s place’s at my fingertips.

My next book is “Book Girl” by Sarah and then I will reread “The Lifegiving Home” by Sarah and Sally for the third time. I like reading it when fall comes because it always inspires closeness for the upcoming busy season.

My recommendation? Read it for yourself! :)

The world needs this book!!

The deepest parts of me were reached and longings that have struggled to find a voice felt understood. If only this message could make it into the hands of all women, young and old. Thank you Sally, Sarah, and Joy, for every word, every prayer, and every moment. I will forever be changed by Girls’ Club!
