When she arrives at the idyllic getaway, she’s pleased to find that the owner is a handsome man by the name of Calvin Wells—and he’s eager to introduce her to his easygoing way of life. Wow just wow I’m not sure if I paid for this book or if was a membership book but it was fantastic. A lot of thrillers / horror books are very predictable, but this one the ending was so choice. It wasn’t one of those you think the guy did it you think the girl did it but you don’t know.. This book just gets weirder and weirder not quite fever dream weird
The author did an amazing job of keeping the reader on edge without being cheesy or scary. It was a great listen. I will say that the male lead reminded me a lot of Joe from the YOU series so if you read those books you may like this character or you may think he’s a try hard to be like Joe either way not important book is fantastic

this book was amazing. the attention to detail, clues and Easter eggs hidden throughout this book made it absolutely amazing the side love stories added to the overall story instead of taking away from it in some thrillers mystery detective novels The Love story just seems fake and forced however the underlying love story is genuine and adds to the overall novel.

so this book was free so that's cool but was it worth listening to ...no. the story is like every other supernatural teen romance the dialogue feels like it was legit written by a 15-year-old and the narrator this is the big one talks to the audience she takes a little sidebar from reading the story to talk about how she doesn't want to change her voice or a specific character because it might ruin the big reveal oh my God anyone could have seen this reveal coming a mile away by the way so it was dumb

I would like to start with I don't normally write reviews I'm also using talk to text so do not judge me on typos or punctuation
first off the majority of this book is conversation whether it's conversation between people between friends or internal monologue and it is perfect
this book is light-hearted easy to blow through and very entertaining
one of the other reviews that I read said only the f word made this an adult book if you really feel that way then you were probably looking for something with more smut this is definitely adult book told through The eyes of a 40 something year old woman and it's fantastic

I was born and raised in Denver Colorado the book takes place in Denver the way they described certain landmarks without ever using the name such as casa Bonita and lakeside the dog food plant it's so perfect the stories great a little hokey at times but I think that's the point the narrator speak slowly so I had to bump it up to one point two five percent and at that speed it's perfect.

the story itself is cutesy easy to listen to except for one thing the the narrator's Australian accent keeps popping out throughout the story it's very distracting. the narrator uses different voices for different characters but seems to have forgotten which voice she used for which character and is sometimes hard to follow who is speaking.

this book was unbelievably predictable. the author could have used an editor so many words were repeated and the wrong language was used consistently throughout the book. The narrator was mediocre at best did not change her voice for different characters and when she did it didn't match the acts that they had previously.

Story
I started my junior year of high school knowing three definite things: I believed in God. Good grades were the key to my future. And I wanted a boy to take me to prom. Then Liv happened. The way her eyes smiled when she watched me made my stomach do somersaults. Mysterious and flirty, she inspired me to question things about myself I took for granted. People seem to think certain traits are ingrained in you from the moment you're born. But what if some things aren't so black and white?

this story was terrible, nothing really happened. the worst part though was the actual narration. whoever edited it did not take out the mess ups or when narrator decided to change the deflection of a voice or she pronounce the word wrong. the line or words just simply repeated. do not waste your time on this book the story is absolutely rubbish nothing interesting happen at all and it feels like it was written by a 15 year old.
