Where to start on this horrible book. The "zombies" in the book are created by a scientist adding a Y chromosome into men. This exists in nature already as Jacob's Syndrome, and it doesn't turn everyone into mindless killing machines. Most of the book takes place 3 years after the outbreak, but the women still have functional fuel and easily find supplies in their area. The camps they establish are a perfect communist society with no real infighting among the individuals. The protagonist somehow becomes a Rambo lite character even though she was just a high schooler when the outbreak happened. The entire book is just about how toxic all men/masculinity is. Avoid this at all costs.

The authors are perfect. to hear them tell, they're absolutely amazing and everyone around them are lucky to be near them. Instead of hearing a balanced story about the events, it's highly skewed (to be expected, but not to this extent). One of the few books I couldn't finish.

after listening to this series, I'm only half joking when I say I need to see webbs dd214 to believe he's been in the navy. so much of this story is wrong that a new seaman would know it's laughable. read carr instead

While the book claims to be about the murder case, it's actually about how awesome, beautiful, smart, and courageous the author is. This book is the author just patting herself on the back about how amazing she is, and oh yeah there was a murder case

Most of the book isn't about FTX. It's spent explaining what crypto and investing is in such basic terms that it's insulting. What's even worse is the author defends SBF so much

this book is clearly written by someone who knows nothing about the military. that's usually not a bad thing, but the author is clearly biased to believe his cousin despite how ridiculous the story is. the author also tries to quote military theorists to paint his cousins crimes as understandable. but he completely misses the whole theory clausewitz and tzu mean

as a sailor, nothing in this book is correct. if webb actually contributed to the plot, he must have forgotten everything he saw in the navy. might be good if you know nothing of the navy

if not for the horrible narration job, it would be so bad that it could pass as a comedy. The research seems to be from YouTube comments and fake documents. the first chapters talk about the Tulli Papyrus which should've let me know I was in for a rough ride
