There is no part of the Brotherhood I don't love. This one was hard to listen to towards the end. I have so many questions. And, hopefully, we will get those answers. I pray there are many stories to come. I just love this world The WARDen has created for us.

Good story, but I did not enjoy the narration.

I believe I would have enjoyed the story more if the narration was better. It felt stagnant. I was kinda disappointed that I bought the trilogy, I would not have listened to the other two stories otherwise. I wish I had enjoyed it more.

There are some people who may think, on occasion, this or any author, write a "boring" or "not her best" book. These are necessary. The meat needs bones to stick to, a foundation to build off of. And I, myself, love a good bone. 😉

Story
Lainie Capshaw has been servicing injured cowboys long enough to know that a charming Western drawl combined with a fine physical form doesn't mean you should fall for a man. As a sports therapist, she travels the rodeo circuits patching up riders-and fending off their sweet-talking, swaggering advances. So no one is more surprised than Lainie when she finds herself involved with not one, but two men on different circuits....

Another great hit from Lorelei James!

I do love reading Lorelei James. This was no different. The story was sexy, as always, with conflict and angst. I wish there was a little more depth to Hank and Lainie's back story. It would have made the fact that she chose him a little more understandable. But was still a great starter to what is sure going to be another great series.

Story
Lissianna has been spending her centuries pining for Mr. Right, not just a quick snack, and this sexy guy she finds in her bed looks like he might be a candidate. But there's another, more pressing issue: her tendency to faint at the sight of blood . . . an especially annoying quirk for a vampire. Of course it doesn't hurt that this man has a delicious-looking neck. What kind of cold-blooded vampire woman could resist a bite of that?

Not thrilled, but will endevor to try the next one
Reviewed: 05-10-18
Was not thrilled. I do not know if it was the narrator or the story line, it just did not work for me. There were a lot or awkward pauses. I did not feel as if I could distinguish the individual characters. They all just blended in with one another. The storyline was a bit weak but has potential. I have heard great things about this author and these books, so I will try the next one and get back to you.

Sola Morte, former cat burglar and safecracker, has given up her old life on the wrong side of the law. On the run from a drug lord’s family, she is lying low far from Caldwell. Her heart, though, is back up North, with the only man who has ever gotten through her defenses: Assail, who never meant to fall in love - certainly not with a human woman. But they have no future, and not just because she doesn’t know he is a vampire, but because he is not about to stop dealing arms to the Black Dagger Brotherhood. Fate, however, has other plans for them.

I LOVE THIS SERIES!!!

I know I say that every time, but it is the truth!! I hate waiting for the next book, but it is soooo worth it. I love the multi story line, I feel like a get a wider view into the "Brotherhood" world. Some of these stories may seem a little "to easy a fix" with their relationships, especially after a drawn out strain in the relationship. But I still love every word on the page.
