What a great and inspiring listen/read. I have already implemented this tool into my life. It is 8am for me, and I got out of bed at my alarm and am on my fasted walk. When I am done, I’ll be doing my 30 before “7:30”, and planning my goals for the day. Thank you Mel. I’ve used this metacognition before and never knew it was a studied phenomenon. It is how I bought my house. Can’t wait to see the changes.

I enjoyed the organic feel of the read. It felt like a talk / pep talk. I will be listening again for sure.

There is so much substance in this book. Yes, I was an amazing story, but the symbolism and the undertones of the intentional language/literary devices used were not lost here.

Absolutely stunning and beautifully written.

I’d really need to re-read this a second or maybe third time to fully understand every nuance, which I suppose to be fitting with the themes of this novel.

I’m going to briefly say that I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. It truly touches on so many topics; from philosophy to consciousness to theology to deities and all within the scope of a science fiction work.

This novel illuminates the complexity of the human experience, how we experience consciousness, why we are here, and even makes references to intelligent design.

Really really great. I will be reading this again and again.

The narrator was also amazing, and did a great job with pause and different characters’ dialogue.

The third person perspective through the eyes of young child – naive of the world around him – was what made this fable continuously intriguing. A sad story, you may cry. It was a lot like exploring this time and place through the eyes of the unknowing, which really elicit many emotional responses through the read.

Highly recommend. Glad I read this before seeing the movie.

Seeing this story through the eyes and mind of Christoper really made this book. I read it in under week because I had to find out what would unfold next. Well worth the read / listen.

This will be short. But I enjoyed this book. It gives references to all of the facts that it writes about, so that you may look them up and research for yourself. I would recommend getting the Kindle or paperback version because you will be given the peer-reviewed references cited within the text and a references list at the end.

There are a lot of really good points made in this book. I’m about to pair this read with Green Tyranny.

Yes, the climate is changing, but should the government force legislation based on models and not the data. (If you live anywhere that sees hurricanes, you understand that statistical modeling is as accurate as a drunk playing darts. That’s why there is a “cone of uncertainty”.)

It’s really another way to gain acceptance for tyranny.
