Story
Language defines us as a species, placing humans head and shoulders above even the most proficient animal communicators. But it also beguiles us with its endless mysteries, allowing us to ponder why different languages emerged, why there isn't simply a single language, how languages change over time and whether that's good or bad, and how languages die out and become extinct.

Another great book!
Reviewed: 07-27-16
This was a great addition to the series in my opinion. Without saying anything spoilers, or trying not to at least, I find it great how you can really feel sense the realness of what would happen after the events of The Queen of the Damned, and even Lestat view on things after his interactions with the body thief and with Memnoch “the Devil”.. It shows how all the characters have matured and changed in certain ways.. If you've read the other books, this is a MUST read! Or, pick this book up and start from here, either way, a great book. Thank you Anne Rice, and thank you Prince Lestat for sharing your thoughts and story with us mortals. I look forward to the next in the series!

An amazing end to an amazing story
Reviewed: 02-02-16
I listened to the first boom of this series a couple of weeks ago... It was the first time actually reading/listening to the books, but I've liked the movies a lot. After listening you the first book, I was instantly hooked! The reader, Jim Dale, he is an amazing ready! In each book he was able to give each character a separate voice, a separate personality, almost as if it was more than one person reading it. So, I got the second book, I was hooked even more! So I got the third and after that the next and the next.... And now, I am finished with the series..... It was an amazing journey. The world that J. K. Rowling created is such an amazing and magical one. I am a 26 year old male and I can envision myself as a child going to Hogwarts and being a part of that world, dueling and playing Quiditch for fun. I wish the story didn't have to end, but, it ended in a great way.... And although I could listen to the story about all the characters children and their journey in Hogwarts, I couldn't be happier about the ending, it was just right. Thank you to both the author for creating the story and the reader for bringing that story to life. I give the entire series a 10/10 and 2 thumbs up! If you haven't read the books or movies, this is a must hear/read series! even if you HAVE seen the movies.... there are details in the books that aren't mentioned in the movies, so, it's still worth it! I hope everyone who listens to the series enjoys it as much as I did.
