Great beginning for a love story and journey to the White House. Fell in love with both Jamison and Candice. Pearl is a gem...not kidding.

I got this book when Dick Hill was listed as the narrator. Needless to say, I was dissapointed when I started listening and discovered it wasn't Dick Hill. I don't know if I can finish it. Jonathon Davies and the production are terrible. Nothing is more distracting in an audio book than the sound of the narrator inhaling as he/she reads. I can hear every breath Davies takes. It is the last book I will every buy with Davies as the narrator.

I've been waiting years for Jan Burke's books to be released on audio. A wonderful surprise and I wasn't disapointed. Goodnight Irene on audio was as good as the read. The reader is introduced to Irene Kelly, newspaper reporter, and supporting characters including her detective husband to be, Frank. The locale is a southern California beach town. The pace of Goodnight Irene sometimes slows, but as the series goes on, the books only get tighter and faster paced. The narrator is good, could turn into a favorite of mine. If you've never read Jan Burke, give Goodnight Irene a try. Well worth the credit spent and the time listening.
