Story
Ilea likes punching things. And eating. Unfortunately, there aren’t too many career options for hungry brawlers. Instead, the plan is to quit her crappy fast-food job, go to college, and become a fully functioning member of society. Essentially—a fate worse than death.

very good story length is perfect and covers a whole bunch. doesn't feel like an endless grind to an impossible goal.
Pros:
main character got their shit together
able to make decisions without a paragraph of inner monologue.
good power fantasy
cons:
no second book yet
World buildings decent but not great

Story
The decision to start a new life is never an easy one, but for Joe the transition was far from figurative. Becoming a permanent addition to a game world, it doesn't take long to learn that people with his abilities are actively hunted. In fact, if the wrong people gained knowledge of what he was capable of, assassins would appear in droves.

Love the series and how everything works out, Love the fact that the main character isn't a bubbling paphoon.
Dislike the shortness of the books in general. It does not need filler but needs more story. If the books were sold separate averaging about 6 hours or less. I would not be buying the books.
