Dishonorable heroine
Reviewed: 05-21-24
A liar, a schemer, a coward and weak of heroine. It speaks of a very flawed character. Her sin was not a willing confession, it was forced out of her, which was a turn-off. Painful to finish. The heroine is driven to cheat because of selfishness and cowardice.

Typical plot. Not great but passable. MC Beaton wrote better stories. I will still follow her stories. It’s a pain listenning to the narrator.

Following Jane from her childhood as an orphan in Northern England through her experience as a governess at Thornfield Hall, Charlotte Brontë's Gothic classic is an early exploration of women's independence in the mid-19th century and the pervasive societal challenges women had to endure. A waste of time
Reviewed: 10-16-23
Repetitive scenes. Excruciatingly diffucult to finish. The heroine is frutratingly annoying, very insecure, rediculously undecided. She is definitely a unique character, uniquely stupid. Don’t bother. A waste of time.
