Story
As one of the few witches in Britain, Mika Moon knows she has to hide her magic, keep her head down, and stay away from other witches so their powers don’t mingle and draw attention. And as an orphan who lost her parents at a young age and was raised by strangers, she’s used to being alone and she follows the rules...with one exception: an online account, where she posts videos "pretending" to be a witch. She thinks no one will take it seriously.

I was looking for something light and uplifting and this book filled that. Fun characters and a little romance with a touch of seriousness. I hope to read more from this author. The narrator was great.

The story was ok, but more like a Hansel and Gretel kind of thing. It was a light read and even paced. Didn't have any hair raising moments or suspense.

Great care was taken to present accurate details of this case, I like that. It points out how our individual perceptions color our interpretation of the facts. I found this very interesting and I too couldn't come to a definite conclusion.

Twists and turns until the final chapter, very intriguing storyline. Its a story that gets into your head. I asked myself repeatedly why Maggie made some of the decisions she did. What a difference a choice makes. This is a dark story, if you're looking for a happy ending, don't pick this book. I would recommend this book to others.

I like these stories, they are enjoyable.
I don't care for narrator as she doesn't pronounce words correctly, also many of her voices sound the same as others. I wish ALL the characters she performs didn't mispronounce the word "anything". You would think over the course of 9 books someone would point this out to the narrator.
Ms. Ragan 's character development is good. I am going to continue reading this series and I'm checking out her other books.

It began in Ethiopia, hundreds of thousands of years ago, when a handful of genetic mutations caused evolution to split from the primates and mankind was born. Now, eons later, evidence of more splits from the apes is being unearthed. And with them, a disturbing realization. Ours was only one of many.

What would we do.
Reviewed: 06-10-19
Great stories. The concept is full of possibilities. I enjoy the characters and the plot and with finishing each book I anxiously await the next installment. I love the dolphins and the gorilla, and exploring their species view of the world. The books represent a very accurate view of how the world works in reality. If you like fast paced adventures, these books will capture your interest. I love the idea that we could talk to dolphins and apes. The fact that the author gives them a mature outlook on what's happening around them adds so much more to the story.
The possibility that we could have been visited in the past by extraterrestrials who left their technology here and what a cutthroat situation among different factions that would produce is all too real. The books make me want to get out there and fight against corruption and make people value our planet and it's resources.
What would the world powers do to each other to get advanced technology? Are we ready to handle hugh leaps in technologies? Can humans be trusted to guard the interests of all the other species living on this planet? How far have we really advanced from our barbarian pasts? These are the questions that follow you through these books.
