If this is your first Fantasy or just getting into the Genre you will Probably enjoy it more than I did
Reviewed: 08-30-23
I have read quite a bit of Fantasy and is my favorite genre to read especially enemies to lovers. This book was put under the enemies to lovers sub genre and I was pretty excited for this book, pre-ordered it and everything, but I was slightly disappointed in it. If this was my first fantasy book I had read I would have enjoyed it more. I didn’t make a huge connection with any of the characters, they didn’t tug at my heart strings, or make me love them, or hate them.
I got Throne of Glass vibes from this book which normally I would love, but they didn’t execute it right.
Will I read the second book probably not, this one just fell short for me.

Because with the secret of my true bloodline out, the supreme alpha wants my head on a platter. And he’s not above using the trials to get the job done. As if surviving the dreaded trials wasn’t bad enough, I also have to deal with the unwanted (and sometimes deadly) advances of the other Lunar Pack competitors. Who knew this mate thing was such a big deal?

Story
Fate has a wicked sense of humor. When I was 16, I met the love of my life in magic school. He'd appear exactly once a year at the annual masquerade ball, then vanish... Fast forward to the present: To the night I’m attacked and my hidden wolf emerges. As it turns out, I’m a freakin’ hairy, tail-wagging, shape-shifting werewolf so instead of returning to the human world after graduating, I’m dragged to Moon Valley to control my inner beast. Only problem is, I’m not just a wolf. And someone wants me dead because of it. When I meet the alpha heir, sparks fly.

Story
Being alpha-born means walking a path that's already been laid out for me, with a mate I don't get to choose. On a Lycan's 21st birthday, we are fated to find our true mate. Only, I don't want one. I'm not ready yet. I want to travel and see the world, but I can't do that, either. When our world comes under attack from a foe we thought long vanquished, everything I thought I knew gets flipped upside down. With nowhere to turn after my mate rejects me, feeling suffocated by my own skin, I leave my pack to try and find myself...but get found instead.

It was ok
Reviewed: 11-28-22
It was alright. There were a few times I thought I missed a chapter because one second they are doing one thing but the next second something completely different is happening. Luna was kinda annoying your typical “I’m not like other girls”, who hates wearing dresses actually eats lots of food. It was a fairly good length book but felt like nothing happened. It took nearly half the book to even get to find out Jackson was her mate and then she spends the next half of the book kind of moping around which is understandable but a lot happens in the book but then again it felt like nothing happened.

It was ok
Reviewed: 07-08-20
It was an ok series I listened to all three books which is rare for me to finish a series. It had an interesting story and plot, but felt really similar to a mix of Hunger Games and Divergent which was fine but the thing that really bothered me was Cia had literally zero character development! Any time she came across a problem oh she automatically knew how to solve it because something her brothers or her dad taught her when she was younger so she never had any issues. I really only enjoyed two characters through out the series and that was Enzo and Michel the others were kinda annoying. And by the end I was confused on who actually wanted to end the testing and who was good and who was bad it was just a mess and the author just trying to get more story out without really knowing where it was going.
But there were parts I did like I liked the different stages of testing found that original and fun to listen to, but that’s about it.

Better than the first book
Reviewed: 06-11-20
I liked this book more than the first one. I found more character development and I love Rhysand's character he is perfection. The only problems I found were that it felt like to me that book just seemed to drag on, and another is how powerful Feyre is like I understand how and why she is so powerful but I feel like it is too much and makes her the most powerful person who has abilities from all of the courts. Like a human turned into a fey in my opinion should not be that strong.

I found this book pretty predictable but it wasn't terrible. I found myself seeing a lot of similarities between the main character from throne of glass and this book, but Feyre just wasn't as good as Celaena Sardothien.

I really enjoyed this book and finished it in two days! I had no expectation going into this book so I didn’t know if it would be good or not but it was! There were times that is was predictable but then others made me gasp because I was surprised at what happened. The narrator did such a good job with voices for different characters and made it a really enjoyable book.

Tessa is a good girl with a sweet, reliable boyfriend back home. She’s got direction, ambition, and a mother who’s intent on keeping her that way. But she’s barely moved into her freshman dorm when she runs into Hardin. With his tousled brown hair, cocky British accent, and tattoos, Hardin is cute and different from what she’s used to. But he’s also rude — to the point of cruelty, even. For all his attitude, Tessa should hate Hardin. And she does — until she finds herself alone with him in his room.

Not very good.
Reviewed: 10-21-19
The reader of of book does a really good job, besides her attempt for a British accent other than that she does a great job! As far as the actual book its pretty crappy its very repetitive book just the situations changed slightly. They fight then make out and forgive each other for a short time then they fight and the cycle just repeats.
