Definitely had me reflecting and laughing out loud

I found myself cringing at the racist things I've unwittingly done in my life. Lessons learned. The narration was hilarious, it had me laughing out loud.

Good (but not my favorite Kingsolver)
Reviewed: 01-18-22
Barbara Kingsolver is one of my favorite authors. She's so great at writing and I love her style of narration. This novel was good, but it wasn't my favorite. I am usually hooked on her every word but this one I found myself drifting. May have just been me. Anyway, I would still recommend because it was a beautiful listen.

One day, their beautiful fifteen-year-old daughter, Maribel, sustains a terrible injury, one that casts doubt on whether she’ll ever be the same. Useful and easy to follow advice
Reviewed: 07-13-21
What I love about Frankel's books is that she gives such easy to follow advice, even for complicated issues. not only does she give advice, but she illustrates how it should be done and what that sounds like. As a first time manager, I get so much out of her books. This one is no different. I recommend her books to all my female colleagues, and have gifted them to my staff.

Great, practical advice
Reviewed: 10-23-19
I've listened to the book from beginning to end a couple of times now, and I've gone back and listened to my bookmarked sections many other times. I find myself coming back to this book time and time again. It has such great practical advice. I've applied the lesson many times at work.
I really love the narration, she does such a great job at making the book interesting and informative.
What I really appreciate about this book, in comparison to other self-help flash/motivational books, is that the advice is so straightforward and applicable to my job in middle management, aspiring for upper management. what I've found when listening to other books of the same topic is that they're often too vague on how to apply the lesson. I definitely recommend this book to all women in the workplace.
