Narration was grossly “overwrought.” Every sentence seemed to end with an exclamation point. Started to quit several times in the course of the listen.

I found the presentation to be a bit of a weird rude, as the narrative careened about chronologically, with a chapter advancing a year in the future with the next retreating 18 months.

As a native Texan, I have to take points away from the narrator for several mispronunciations of names and places. Several were understandable given the odd Texas peculiarity of reciting place names with no regard for the spelling, such as reading “Refugio” as “Refurio.” But one particularly odd reading was referring to Ben Milam (pronounced “my-lum”) as “Mullim.”

Great yarn and the reading was truly a “performance.” Bravo to both Andy Weir and Ray Porter.

Saving in my library to re-read after the next time I indulge myself with another re-reading of “The Martian.”

Including a pdf supplement with the referenced maps would have been a significant improvement.

A future afterword reflecting the effect of the changes wrought by Donald Trump May be necessary.

Don't know where the book was going till the end, then missed it, I guess.

Not a fan of the dual narrator arrangement either.
