Solar flare to strike Earth and the Government is not informing the populace of the severity. Prepped family heading out to a bug out in Vermont. Unprepared neighbor gets the bugout bug after being convinced by his son, to follow his neighbor hoping for entrance.
The story has everything you could want along with adventure, excitement, teen angst and excellent narration.
The characters are likeable and engaging and the story pulls you along. Kevin Pierce, did a fantastic job as always on the narration.
This is a great book and would be a nice addition to anyone's Post Apocalyptic Library.

Ryan Schow did an excellent job with this story. The Characters step right out of the story and into your awareness like they are standing around you as you listen. At first I was not sure how this story was going to go. Quantum Computers going rogue, Drug Cartels selling drugs and trafficking young girls, and a dysfunctional family all thrown into the mix together. I thought that with so many interweaving story threads that it would turn out to be a broken and disjointed tale, but I was wrong. The story is gripping and well constructed. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Kevin Pierce, the narrator delivered what I feel is his best narration yet-truly wonderful!

This was a great book, totally refreshing. Joe Branch, former Capital Police Officer, discovers that the government co-planned a pandemic to take over the world governments and all together form the OAN. Then they basically hooked the people into a symbiotic reliance on the “Cure”. If you don’t take the cure you die if exposed. He struggles to expose the global plot and help free everyone from OAN.
It was an enjoyable story with lots of action and engaging characters. I did have one nagging question though – Who did they buy that Powered Pack from? It should have come with a disclaimer about it always getting the brunt of any bad luck.
Kevin Pierce, as always provided a smooth professional narration – thoroughly entertaining!

Good story line with well developed characters. I enjoyed the story and I felt it had real promise at the beginning. A Prepper family whose main motivating force(Father) has passed away in an auto accident leaving the family to deal with an event that they thought would never happen.
The Mom is with her mother who is ill and her father who is in denial. The Daughter who is in route home and had a stopover in Chicago and the son who is on a field trip away from home. In the middle of all that an EMP hits taking out most of the country. The Daughter laments the fact that she ignored most of her father’s teaching. The Son who paid attention but lacks the motivation to follow the lessons he was taught. The mother is isolated from her children and has her hands full with her parent’s issues. All of them now have to rely on what they were taught to make their way back home.
It’s a good story and if you are willing to overlook some of the inconsistencies, its very enjoyable.
The only part that I felt detracted from the story is that Maddie (the daughter) who supposedly ignored her father’s lessons seems to continually pull knowledge up that she wasn’t supposed to have.
Kevin Pierce did another Fantastic job. With his experience with the genre, he gets all the technical jargon that other narrators stumble over.
This is a good story to add to you Post Apocalyptic story library.

The is the second book in the Against All Odds series. The book was a good read with the Story of Sam, Mason, Chase, Anna, and Amanda continuing. The story changes from a straight Post Apoc story to a cyber attack/ intrigue. It broadened the tale out a bit and I an not totally sure if the story benefited from the additional plot line or not.
I enjoyed being able to pick up where I left off from the first book and see the characters progress putting an end to the series.

The United States has experienced its share of turmoil over the years. Although not particularly as war-torn or stricken with genocide and violent crime as other nations, over time, gun violence and terror attacks have become commonplace on American soil. Never before has the United States been subjected to widespread coordinated terrorist attacks, devastating enough to bring the entire nation to its knees. Until now.

Wow! All I can say is Wow.
Political Intrigue coupled with Post Apocalyptic Chaos. I am so looking forward to the second book in this series.
Quinn and Natalia, two assassins changing the world for the better and a Prepper dad and his family struggling to live through the crisis with lots of teen drama included.
Two major story-lines crisscrossing back and forth really made this like getting two books in one. One Line Political intrigue, the other a family facing the Apocalypse and just as the story ends the two lines come together.
It was a very enjoyable listen, with Kevin Pierce doing another amazing job narrating!

The characters had depth and were well developed and their personalities were engrossing, making be care about what happened to them.

A thoroughly enjoyable story. I enjoy seeing the characters evolve through each successive Apocalyptic challenge while getting to root for the survival of my favorites.
Tom does a great job of character development normally but this series of stories allows him to really flesh out the characters in a way that far exceeds what a typical author gets to do. The readers gain directly in this as each tale adds depth to each character giving us a more substantial and satisfying read.
I am really enjoying the flashback/flashforwards story line that weaves throughout each book adding an extra plot-line that broadens the tale even more. I can't wait to see where it ends up taking me.
Each of these tales is stand alone but I would recommend you get them all - they are that good!
And believe me when I say with Kevin Pierce as the narrator the stories are that much better!

I really enjoyed this story. The characters were believable and actually flawed - not just supermen and women. No one had a unlimited bag of prepper supplies nor did the ex-navy seal become a Super Hero. This was probably the most Normal PostApoc story I have ever read.
This is my second Jack Hunt read and while I did not like the first one, this one was Great!. Jack mixes humor throughout the story and his character development is very thorough. Before you know it you start relating to the characters and enjoying the tale.

The Last Storm was a well written story and I really got to enjoy the characters. They are well developed and not one-dimensional. I loved the Alaskan setting and the hometowniness added in. The Super Storm plot was interesting but when the author added in the repeated preaching about Global Warming it detracted from the story.
