Story
Orodan was an orphaned street rat who clawed his way to the county militia with hard work. When calamitous events unfold and draw him into events bigger than himself, Orodan's battle-loving disposition leads to a warrior's death. Then he wakes up again at the start of the Cataclysm. Then again. And again. In a world of skills, titles, and blessings, a smart time-looper would perhaps scheme, plan, amass equipment, and allies. But not Orodan. If there's one thing he's good at, it's stubbornly trying the same thing over and over again via brute force till it's done.

What else do you want? Will Wheaton as a narrator, talking or i guess typing spy cats, unionize dolphins? This book was funny, wholesome and intriguing enough to keep you listening until the end. I was sad it's over but it had a super happy ending. Also... CATS!!! read it, it won't disappoint.

This book gave me so many emotions. As a person who came to the US in my 20s trying to escape my life in a poor and doomed future i really wanted Jabe to have the happy life she so very much deserved. I guess in her last letter she realized that she had all she ever want it all along and stopped being an expectatator. But it destroyed me to know that after so long and so much her John, Hanna, and the rest of the gang were never together again. Just when she finally discovered love and her own humanity. sometimes we are dealt shitty cards. So much loss!!!
I keep a little bit oh hope that in her old age she indeed got to see her kiddos again.
the narrator did AMAZING JOB capturing all the different accents and little details to each personality and that was superb. A big part of the engagement and love for this historical fiction was her ability to bring all the beauty from German, Bohemian, Italian, and other immigrants into the story. I absolutely loved this book and it will be in my special list for ever.
Thank you for the experience. ❤️

this is a bit of a balance. the story is well thought out and one of the best litrpg. it's simply fantastic. however the performance is close to one of the worst I have ever heard. the voices given sound like a Crack addict, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Forest Gump. everything else is unexpectedly British colonial soldier? horrid.

Story
Sam hates his office job, but at least every night he can delve into Alterwhere and forget about stupid teamwork for a while. The world’s hottest new cerebral reality game is a fully immersive mash-up of the retro fantasy RPGs he used to play on his dad’s steam account back in the early 2030s—the kind where you can eat a bowl of stew in the middle of a battle, fire crossbows underwater, and steal all the plates from an NPC’s kitchen as long as they’re looking away at the time.
