A perfect ending for a great series. Well worth the read. The narrator did a great job with all the voices and characters giving them their own unique sound.

I usually feel like middle books in the series our kind of just something to get through but this one was just as good as the first and I can’t wait to read the next.

This would be great if u are just starting out on ur homeschool journey. Really just convincing you of it’s benefits and necessity. Not really a deep dive into homeschool or unschooling, just skimming the surface. A great starting point.

Had great potential at the start but just morphs in to a political agenda to vilify conservatives.
Ironically much like his statements on social media slowly becoming more radicalized to keep us emotionally charged and less critically thinking his book follows the same “bait clicking” path with each chapter to keep the listener going. Substance would have been better.

Maisie Dobbs Audiobook By Jacqueline Winspear cover art

Cute cozy mystery but Masie is lacking some depth

I almost walked away from this one for the first 1/4 of the book. Masie is desperate for a client and then seems to go out of her way to turn him into the bad guy and just generally offend him. She cites her moral obligations as reason for this but let’s face it your a starving PI. If you take issue with an infidelity case then you need a new job.
When the book flashed back to give us history on Masie’s life I found that actually more enjoyable than the actually plot. There was still a few points that made me cringe because she is basically a picture perfect heroine with no faults and everyone just loves her—basically about as flat of a character as you can get.
The performance was great, even her little spots of singing were cute.
I just don’t see any room for growth in Masie so prob won’t be going on with the series.

Changed how I look at the time I have. Been implementing her hour tracking and I feel like it has made such an improvement in my goal keeping and progress. Going on about 3 months of doing it and love it!

Every time I think I know where the book is headed it takes a crazy turn for me. The ending, I knew something bad was going to happen but man it left me with my jaw open (literally) in shock! Usually second books are just the meh that gets me to the end of the series, not this one!!! I almost feel like this book could have been split in too because some areas were just moving to fast, which is something I don’t think I have ever wanted for a second book of a series but it was just that good!

Love all the twists and turns in this series. Second books are usually not my fave and I usually feel like they are just filled with fluff but this one kept me dying to know what was going to happen next! Love it!
