So slow
Reviewed: 01-06-25
Honestly this is the worse book of the series. The last book was the worse before this one. It’s just digressing. I finished it painfully. I feel like we are inside his mind trying to navigate all this cryptic nonsense when we wanna be in his mind trying to find answers through to this end game through blood and sacrifice. Sometimes outside his mind looking at a movie. Uhh I don’t know but loved this series until now im just tired of it. Anyway thank you for coming out with new books for this serious. I’ll look at a new series if one ever comes around. I think im done with this one though.

Slow start but good build up

I would not call this a slice of life it’s definitely more action epic tale in my opinion. I did not like the time changes without any notification. Made it seem like a disjointed story sometimes.

The MC sucks
Reviewed: 09-19-24
The MC is so short tempered. Every single person has to explain themselves in this book. The MC is full power trip and no communication skills. Honestly just had to stop reading this as the MC pervy behavior is kinda funny and kinda annoying along with his short temper and full boar beserk behavior is just out of touch and also annoying. Why he acts like he gonna kill anyone who does something he doesn’t like. He leaves someone in charge of a settlement then in his head threatens to murder that person not knowing any circumstances for the decision he thinks this person made. Just all anger and aggression.

I really enjoyed this. The MC seems like a real person with real breaks in his psyche. The author didn’t shy away from the true mentality of humanity. Great job so far. I’ll keep reading this series.

Honestly this book was up and down for me. But as I got to the end of the story it really started opening up. I can already tell this will be one of those ramp up series. It’s a good thing the author is pushing new books out quickly. I’ll check out book 2 when it hits audible and see where i’m at with this series.

Dominic Hart was screwed. Diagnosed with terminal cancer, no money for treatment, and an athletic scholarship hanging by a thread...he didn't have many options. But the university clinic had offered him a free video game. Some sort of "therapy", they said. A way to while away the hours until he kicked the bucket. Yay. What Dom wasn't expecting was to get swindled by a surly casino owner right out of the gate. Or get dropped in a backwater hellhole voted the “number one worst starting location in Awaken Online".

Chad Johnson built his following by being a troll. Online games, social media, you name it—he's there with a witty comeback. But when he goes too far during a televised stream, he's handed a punishment unlike any other. Instead of the usual ban or suspension, Chad's sentenced to thirty days of full immersion therapy in Isle of Mythos—a world of epic fantasy filled with dungeons and mythical creatures. The twist? He's forced to embody a forest troll, one of the most-despised races in Mythos.

Not bad at all
Reviewed: 07-08-23
Honestly not bad. The author made the MC a non human but made the MC such an entitled person that the only real person is his trusty minority side kick. Honestly Terran would probably be a better MC. Anyway it’s not bad but definitely more a generic story with very little guess work. Possible spoiler: I only read this completion not the other books but I’ll guess a certain imp connection could be the root cause.
